Works very well and (almost as nice as the one I bought previously). I gave the first one to a relative who needed one and meant to get a replacement but found that was no longer available. Don't know why it's no longer available. So this one was as close to the first one as I could get. I AM HAPPY WITH IT... easy to operate...works great...and as an elderly person appreciate how safe it is to use....so I'm happy with it.

Great torch! Fully functional out the box for me! Pro tip, buy the protection plan and label the torch or engrave it on there. Trust me, name brand or not, no torch is lasting 4 years if constantly used. Pros 1. Feels and functions like the top of the line TS7000 (probably same factory). It's cast aluminum, brass parts. Solid. 2. Ignites everytime. Strong spark. Some of these knock offs don't. 3. Valves seal and don't leak. Be cautious threading onto bottle (that goes for every torch) 4. Threaded tip. Can use with the Searz-all or even Bernzomatic tips. Or custom! It's great. 5. Wide tip is great FOR searing. It's better than a Searz-all for small, fewer steaks. Way hotter. No such thing as "propane taste" 6. Functions upside down. Some will sputter out and turn off, this one worked fine for several minutes full blast upside down with a half empty cold tank. Impressive. Cons 1. 2 of the nozzles are nearly identical. Not sure how the Bernzomatic ones are but I'd rather have a much narrower nozzle. 2. Flow control. It seems its closed or full blast and there's a lot of rotation on the screw. You CAN get it to low if you really finesse it but the threading here should've been halved. No big deal, I'm a full blast kinda person anyway 😌 3. The flame isnt as "ultra swirled" as the Bernz. I tried adjusting it and couldn't get it. This has a "looser" flame. Just wider. I might buy the Bernz nozzles to get that precision.

These are DANGEROUS! I purchased the 2 pack based on reviews. But, They LEAK PROPANE! I know how the REAL bernzomatic ones work. I closed off the valves totally. But they LEAK BAD! I do not recommend them for anyone that leaves the torch on a cylinder. THEY LEAK. If you were to leave them in your Work Van, and you do not have a good sense of smell; it could KILL you if you smoke. Oh, and they are NOT returnable. Good luck fighting to get a refund. Edit: Amazon refunded me after a lengthily conversation about the safety of these. Again; they leak propane even if you close off the variable gas valve (the opposite side of the "trigger". Again; I have the original BERNZOMATIC 8000; use it daily. Never take it off the propane cylinder, just close the valve on the back and its good to go. This one LEAKS, and leaks bad. It drained a 3/4 full tank in 24 hours; IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE! Again, If you have an issue smelling the capsicum (the order they add to the gas) you could easily cause an explosion. But; again, it was refunded after a very lengthily conversation. Kudos to AMAZON for understanding HOW DANGEROUS these knock offs were. As long as you remove these from your propane or MAPP gas cylinders; and trust the valve on the cylinders (I do NOT) They are prolly fine. Amazon told me to destroy them. I certainly did. I cut them up with a Sawzall.

They do just what you expect and work great every time, just like the other "expensive" ones! It's nuts to buy the brand name for twice the price when these are identical and do the job very well! No, I don't baby them. These get tossed back into the box along with other tools (tanks off of course) and then screwed back on, press to flame on! Good heat too!

Chinese copy of a good Bernzomatic design. The neck attachment to housing is loose and sloppy with poor fitment. That said: the materials appear decent. Stainless neck is non-magnetic and brass appears finished well. The valve is smooth and regulates gas well. The cast aluminum / pot metal housing shows fine casting marks. Flame is even at the tips. This unit should NOT have made it past QC inspection as the sloppy head was corrected by tightening the set screw on the side.
