The item suits all doors; but not strong

Perfect for what I needed. Just a little extra security to my home. East to install and screws in securely right into the plastic of the frame without cracking it. Directions were clear. You get a plastic and metal bracket to pick from (both are included in the item). We went with the metal bracket since it was more sturdy and easier for us to use (with a 10 year old destruction boy I do not need to worry about him breaking it). It does not fall down when you life it, there is a metal bar that holds it in place when you push it up. To put it back down you just lift up a bit and place it back into it's bracket (the holding bracket should be installed in the door that you are opening and closing).

I've had my Defender Security U 9920 Security Bar for over a year and I appreciate the sense of security it provides. It installs in minutes and it has a simple and effective means of storing in the upright position when not in use. It is rather flimsy and a recent guest to my cabin did not understand how to raise it up, was too rough with it and broke it. I had to replace it. Otherwise, it works well, reliably and is good value.
