The sound button doesn't work, I replaced the batteries and still doesn't work. How can we fix it?

I bought this as a gift for my nephew. It worked just fine and he was beyond happy with it. I suggest sending it back for an exchange

The thing on his chest is a button that you press to get him to talk, not a light. There is no button the hammer.
