I moved into a new house with a sweet double garage and found the owner had the remotes taken by the previous tenant. Obviously not the ideal situation! Luckily, I was able to find these OEM Genie replacement remotes, and though there was no reliable info on whether these would work with the Genie 2020L model opener, I decided to pull the trigger anyway in the name of SCIENCE! Programming the remotes to the opener was easy as can be, press the button inside the opener housing, and click the button of your choice twice on the remote. The opener unit itself has the option to delete all previous remotes, which I took advantage of, knowing someone else has the original remotes. Overall, for the price, ease of use, and the fact that I lucked out into exactly what I needed, gotta give this remote 5 stars!

Bought a cheap 3rd party remote claiming to work for my Genie opener, and followed the pairing instructions. After banging my head on the wall for a few hours it looked like my Genie opener was displaying a "board fault" error code, so I figured it was broken and I returned the 3rd party remote. A few months went by and these went on sale, I figured I would try it out as a last ditch effort. BOOM it took 10seconds to pair and now I have a fully functioning remote. Great quality and price, highly recommend. TLDR; If you can't get a 3rd party remote to work, there is still hope - Try the more expensive brand-name remote.

Buen producto, ahora ya tengo mi propio control, y muy facil de programar.

If you have a Genie, its worth checking out. This worked for my opener that was not listed on here and the technician told me I couldnt get any openers for mine any more (he was clearly wrong). Very easy to figure out and can program multiple doors.

I’m very impressed with these Genie garage door remotes. The setup was quick and simple, and they connected to my garage door opener in just a few minutes. The buttons are responsive, the range is excellent, and the build quality feels solid and durable. I also like that each remote has three buttons, so you can control multiple garage doors if needed. Getting a pack of two is very convenient for having an extra remote in another car or for another family member. Overall, this is a reliable, high-quality product that works exactly as expected. If you need replacement remotes for a Genie garage door opener, I highly recommend these.
