I've read most everything of Bey (or Wilson) and this is my favorite.His wit and eloquence have never been sharper or more playful. A book of poetry I'll always treasure.

every now and then-some poetry appears that shows the real potential of the medium.if all the navel gazing ,self interested poets of today could ever step outside of themselves and write the word- just for a day-we would have more poetry like BLACK FEZ MANIFESTO.gleaming fun with the word interspersed with history....conjecture...this is truly a book that plays with the word riddles in a beautiful way...the standard issue pregnant pause associated with ,and used to effect in, most poetry-is turned on it's head in the rhythmsof this book.i read poetry all the time...rarely does a book of poems come along that can be read and reread with so many variables of interpratation and feeling.this is easily one of the best i've ever read.
