I verified the bottle inside said the same thing as the outside box. I had bleached, almost white, blonde hair, and this turned out a dark chocolate color. I think it looks fine after all, but it is not what I was expecting based on the picture or description. Parts of it are almost a natural black color. It's darrrrk!

Just when I thought I had found the holy grail of hair color, I'm sad and disappointed that I have to stop using it. I have healthy curly dark hair and this product, I thought, was working great because it does cover my grays and my hair is shinier than when I use store-bought brands. I have even tried Madison Reed and thought this was so much better. I even recommended it to my sister and she started ordering it. But, that was until both of our hair started falling out. A more in-depth review of this product and...Bingo! Many women stated the same and even worse issues. For me, I love the shine and my hair does look great but it is definitely sliding out with very little effort, especially in the shower and my head is often very, very itchy.

I have tried many varieties of boxed semi and permanent hair coloring kits and this is my favorite one yet. I have curly hair that's on the thinner side and am greying salt and pepper style all over. I dye my hair to cover my greys, not to change the color so I try and find the closest to my natural hair color as possible. With other kits, my biggest complaints were either that the process killed the texture of my curly hair, making it frizzy and drying it out beyond repair or that it did not completely cover my grey. The Herbatint dyes work gently on my hair and cover my greys better than any other product I've tried, all while looking really natural. A couple of things you should know about this brand though: 1) To get full grey coverage, you need to mix their "C" line colors with a matching "N" line. So if you want full grey coverage, I recommend also buying the 5N equivalent of this brand. There are instructions on how to do this, including mixing proportions, in the kit. 2) The colors run pretty dark. My natural color is a pretty dark chestnut (I usually buy other brands in "4N") but this light ash chestnut is perfect for me. The first time I purchased this, I used the 4N and it was FAR too dark and made my hair look pretty much black.

The product I have been using and it is great; In especail that does not have strong odors like ammonia and also covers deep and leaves no trace of gray hair. The only thing that I am not satisfied with is that the shipment was incorrect and I ended up paying the return cost. Which should not since it was not my mistake when making the shipment. AMAZON SHOULD COVER ALL EXPENSES.
