Everything you ever needed to know about vinegar
This isn't a light cookbook to dip into and the recipes might not be for every home cook, what, with liver, partridge and cockles on the menu. Unsurprisingly, it is 100% focussed on vinegar. Yes, there are recipes, but these are more to showcase the flavours you can achieve with different vinegars: it is more of an informative homage than a standard cookbook per se. I love to cook with vinegar and the sharpness it brings to cut through what could be very ordinary dishes. Before this book, I cooked with balsamic, flavoured vinegars and apple cider vinegar - however I am definitely ready to broaden my horizon and experiment more.

Can't recommend this book enough!
What a fantastic, informative and inspiring book! A broad range of amazingly delicious recipes. Angela's tone throughout is enthusiastic and encouraging. I will never take vinegar for granted again and have already taken my cooking (and knowledge) to the next level.

The essential book for vinegar lovers
Yes yes yes! Let me be perfectly honest, everyone: this is a BIASED review - because I know the author a little and thus have a good sense of how totally much she loves food and cooking. I also love vinegar and this book is a dream: beautifully written, detailed and eclectic yet accessible, great recipes that work in the home kitchen (the true litmus test, of course), and just fascinating all round.

Hugely original and intriguing. Great recipes to work through. A real cook’s friend.
Absolute treasure of a book for anyone who wants to learn more about vinegar. A really labour of love and so useful to help cooks learn more about how to make their food sing. Real range of recipes from vinegar enhanced fried eggs to more complex dishes- I feel like it will be a lifetime companion. Super.

Really informative addition to our kitchen
This has been a really great addition to our kitchen. We now have five vinegars in our cupboard and sure we will buy more to use. The ribs recipe with Chinese black vinegar is really good. Recommend.
