Surprising sound and very good weak station reception. I like that it uses a regular volume control wheel, which responds instantly to adjustments. The on-off switch is slightly awkward, but works okay, although it's a little slow to turn on or switch stations. I find myself punching in the station frequency when I change stations, since it does not show the related button number after automatically detecting the stations. And it's so sensitive that even tho I only listen to public radio (88.1 to 91.9), it might find a dozen stations in that range, even in the wilds of Wyoming, so I just turn it off after it has populated up to 92.0 FM. You can't select which stations to assign to direct-access buttons. When charging, a white LED light turns on, but it doesn't turn off when it's fully charged. The FM function is the only one I use on the device, but I imagine it would sound great for MP3 use as well.

I ordered this specifically to play music off of a flash drive... Every time I plug a flash-drive into the USB port, it doesn't recognize it whatsoever and goes on playing as a radio. If the MP3 feature caught your interest, I wouldn't hold your breath.

It was a gift to my mother who is 92 years old. She love this radio. She always go to sleep listening her new "friend". Good size, easy to operate, and clear sound.

Make the connection with the charge/data cable that comes with the player, or the cable for another MP3 player. The micro USB port i a slightly different shape than that on a phone, so you can't use that cable to charge the player or load the card.2. Turn the player on. You computer won't recognize it if it is not turned on.3. Look for the player just like you would any other drive connected to your computer. It's an especially good feeling when a product exceeds one's expectations. This is the case with the Gtide LED AM/FM radio.I usually read instructions and enjoy doing so, but this time I will just start using it. It has a good heft to it without being heavy, 127.8g. It fits comfortably in a T-shirt pocket without poking out the top.There is a lanyard with an odd "key" attached to the end. I quickly found the corresponding hole on the back that when plugged in allows it to stand nicely on a desk.I turned it on and hit AM mode, I have no interest in the other modes at this time. It automatically started scanning and logging stations and found 26. The second station it found was the one I wanted so I hit the 2 button and there was my station. The sound quality was much better than expected and louder than I needed. I used to plug in a high quality external speaker (JBL) to enjoy listening with my old portable Sony. I don't have to use that now.That old radio had an analog sliding station tuner that worked but was shockingly crude compared to this digital red LED display. Vastly easier to read than the cheaper, more common LCD displays that can't be read if you look at it from the "wrong" angle. This is one of the features that made me choose to purchase this particular model. The flashlight white LED lights dimly to act as the charging indicator. So clever.It has a removable 1000mah li-ion rechargeable battery. If you want to get a backup, you can use a widely available Nokia BL-5C battery with the same or more capacity. You can get an external charger for these cells too. Some of my other devices use this battery so I swapped one in to this radio to verify it works. Not only does it work fine, I did not lose my station selections. This battery is superior to AA or AAA cells that you would normally find in a small portable radio, mainly keeping the size very compact.Everybody needs a battery powered emergency radio. In my area all the news and talk shows are on AM. Most portable radios are FM only and are useless to me.I am impressed with the features and well engineered details of this radio. I feel like I got more value than I paid for. I did NOT get this for free, nor a discount.

Love this radio. It's hard to find something like this. Speaker is surprisingly loud, sharp, bright and even has some bass to it. Picks up radio stations well. Charges with a USB cord. Can play music from a USB stick, which is so awesome. Has this key thing on the cord handle - that "plugs in" so you can prop it up. It is rare to see that kind of thoughtfulness in design (that actually works and holds up) on such a "small" and inexpensive product. Heck, even expensive junk often doesn't bother anymore. Sometimes it's just nice to step away from being tied to "the phone" and get back to simple things (updated with USB ports of course!)I have some monk chants audio files and put them on the USB stick, plugged it in and started it playing... hidden inside the wooden medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Just saying... it was an interesting experience :-)

This is an amazing little radio! I use it with a USB stick to listen to music, and the sound quality is excellent. Quite frankly, if I'd known about this radio before, I never would have wasted money on an ipod. If you want it just for listening to music, in my opinion the radio is way better value for money. I'm very happy with this product.

Great radio with remarkable sound for its compact size!Love the digital tuning as it locks onto the radio signal without any wandering.It's powered by a rechargeable lithium battery so I don't have to be concerned about having batteries on hand.I use it at the lake where I rely on solar power so in order to plug into my inverter I had to buy a different charging cable than the one that came with it.No big deal.

Fast shipping, everything well packed. The radio is really easy to operate. Size is perfect, pocket size. AM and FM is what I was looking for. Clear signal, works very well.Update: I got 3 of those, mine - coworker and mom's. We all love it.

Small, sound great and feels solid. I bought it for my mom and she loves it. The battery life is amazing. Lots of features for not too much money! Can't complain!

Does not pick up stations. Static. Really disappointed as my husband wanted a radio with AM to listen to baseball games. Would like to send back for refund.

Radio works, however battery life is very poor. 2hours at best on a full charge. Less if the volume is up. No indication of full charge.Charge cable already fraying apart at ends.The poor Battery life ruins the use of this radio.
