Very easy and quick to grow. It also is quick to wear out and die. Basically, it seems it’s about a month start to finish. The cat likes it but doesn’t eat all of it, and there’s a good amount in the package. I throughly washed a mushroom container which is about 1/2 the size of the white container it comes in and put about 1/2 the cat grass in that. It makes 2 batches out of the one. When the 1st grass batch is starting to fizzle out, I start the rest of the mix to grow. By the time it grows and is ready to serve, the old batch goes to compost. About that time, another order is on the way. That way it’s less waste and there’s always fresh yummy cat grass.

I opened the sealed plastic packet about 2 weeks after receiving the order and there were LIVE BUGS inside!! This is extremely concerning considering that the package had come from China. There was no writing in English it was all in Chinese. I had to immediately dispose of the package with bugs inside so as not to contaminate our environment.
