Used as a review from my 1980’s math classes. All good, couple of questions per chapter. Do a chapter a day for practice.

Even the middle schooler learned something
This workbook has actually been pretty helpful. The middle schooler in our house uses it occasionally and is always slightly surprised when the book manages to teach her something. It has a lot of practice problems and explains concepts clearly. Good extra resource when math homework starts getting serious.

Good Refresher
I like this book a lot. I’m a mom, trying to refresh my math skills to be able to help my kids. I’m up to chapter 7 and for the life of me couldn’t understand how they got the answer to number 12. The book said the answer was 6 and 4/25 but I kept getting 4 and 13/16. Finally I put the question into google and it verified that I was right. This is the only problem I have found so far where the book has the wrong answer. I will update as I continue- in case anyone else is interested or the publisher would like to know they have a wrong answer.

Good practice for over the summer.
I recommend this book to my gifted 5th graders to get ready for middle school. It gives them a preview of what is coming and some good practice for over the summer.

makes learning math easy
My daughter has always struggled with learning math. We bought this book for her, hoping it would help her with the basics and let her move though at her own pace. The instructions are short, simple and thorough and the exercises are enough for her to practice what she just learned without getting overwhelmed. She has been able to go through the units and chapters on her own, with minimal help from us and get the answers correct. I highly recommend this book for anyone whose child is struggling with math, or is self teaching new concepts. I'm going to be ordering the rest of the books for her.
