Puuurfect for my purrrpose!
So glad I decided to follow the reviews on this purchase. I was leaning towards a less expensive 2 tier cage but thought long and hard about what people were saying on that item, (pinched paws, broken toes, etc.). This cage was easy to assemble and was done in minutes by myself, its sturdy and well constructed. You can use the locking clips to secure the trays in place so they do not slip and slide and work great. I put the cage together and left the doors open so the cats could check it out before being locked in. I got up the next morning and found two cats sleeping in it, what a great feeling that gave me to know they felt that comfortable inside. I bought a regular litter box with raised sides as I have a rescue that has never understood that if the box is clean you can squat, she was in a home that never cleaned the box so she learned to stand and just go, UGH.Update: Still loving this cage! One of the other rescue cats has moved into this cage, she loves it, even when we are home I will catch her sleeping in this cage. Just seeing how happy she is in there makes this so worth it. I'm here to buy another one for the cat I had originally bought it for, she and the one that has adopted the original box do not get along at all. The constant stalking and fighting is why we have an issue, it leads to stress and that causes one of them to pee on the doors in the house. I'm sure they are attracted to these spots as there have been several tom cats that come calling on the girls and they usually urinate at the door. My cats do not go outside but I still have the problem of the neighbor's cats coming calling! If anyone has a hint to what I should do about them, please tell me, the neighbors don't care!Anyway, the reason I purchased this cage was to be able to lock up anyone that has an injury or is feeling ill. I have a special kitty that was rescued several years ago that has continuous health issues and mental instability, she seems to love living in a crate but I don't like putting her in one, hopefully she will adapt to a larger cage and still be happy. She will also stalk and attack one of the other cats which in return causes that one to mark territories to try to keep her away. I have found that with the special kitty locked up, the other cat does not do this.I guess this is the joys of having multiple (5) rescued cats under one roof.If you are looking for a cage for whatever reason, I do recommend this one for sure, its spacious and more than one cat could stay in it. If I were to get another one I would probably go with the 2 level unit instead but with the 3 level unit you could take one level off if its too high for your cat.

Excellent cat cage for introducing new felines to current cats or for fostering.
This cat cage was the perfect solution in order to provide a high place for my cats as well as function as a way to introduce foster cats to my permanent cats slowly. The cage is built pretty well and I have not noticed any of the cats getting stuck in any of the metal siding whatsoever. The one thing I had to modify for this cage is I had to use twisty ties to keep the plastic "shelves" in place. They like to pop up and move around especially if a cat jumps onto it, etc. There should be some sort of hardware included for this--it would make things easier. Otherwise though, this cage is spot on and exactly what I needed.Dimensions of the cage are verified as advertised.Included is cage only. You will need to purchase cat beds or whatever you would like to put inside separately.I have included a bunch of photos of the assembled cage. I will include close-ups of the modifications I had to make in order to keep the plastic shelves in place.Pros:*Well built*Easy assembly*Plenty of roomCons:*Plastic shelves do not stay put(-1/2 star)Additional Considerations:Some landlords will reduce rent if you purchase a cage--look into it if you rent. It could save you 100-200/month--it did for me.Overall: 4.5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 starsIf you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

A nice tower but lacks in width for large cats.
Love the sturdiness and the mobility of the tower; however, I do wish that it it was wider because it's a bit awkward for my large, adult cat to jump from one tray to the top tray. I put a boxed scratching post on the bottom to give her some height to help her get to the middle tray but I still need to find something to help her jump up to the top tray that doesn't take up too much room of the tray. When she did try to jump to the top tray, she was hanging and then fell backwards onto her food dishes that were on the second tray. I think the width is okay for smaller cats. When trying to put a larger litter tray on the bottom it took up too much room so I had to go with a much smaller litter box of which she isn't crazy about so that I could also put her boxed scratching post. I mainly got this to have a place for her to eat away from the dogs so it will meet our needs for that but I was a bit disappointed but overall it is a very nice cat tower.

Well made cage
We moved to another town and needed to live temporarily in an apartment till we bought a home. We brought our outside cat with us, and he lived comfortably, and happily in this cage for two months (of course with us taking him for short periods outside). Lucky is an outside cat because even though he knows to use his litter box, he would occasionally urinate on items on the floor. We now are in our new home, and he goes outside during the day, and comes to the door when he's ready to come back inside to his cage. He has the best of both worlds. I did a ton of research as I wanted to be sure he would be safe, and there was nothing on the cage to hurt him. I also wanted a big cage because he's a very big cat. This cage is sturdy and well made. The shelves are large- we put his litter box in the bottom, he has a blanket on the second shelf for sleeping and his food and water are on the top shelf. Each shelf has an easy access door, and the bottom door is large which makes it easy to take his litter box out to clean. It did take a bit of effort to put it together, mainly just time, but I had watched a video ahead of time that another reviewer posted of how to put the clips on that hold the cage together. We are very happy with this product and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a sturdy, very large, safe place to keep your cat! One thing that I wanted to share is we used plastic zip ties to hold the plastic part of the shelf to the metal support underneath. It works perfectly to keep the shelves from shifting or tipping.
