Yard Machines 420cc 42-Inch Riding Lawn Tractor

This mower is very easy to maneuver. I am thrilled with it! The various gears make it much easier to mow on slight inclines. I would highly recommend it!

Got this machine because I have had MTD products before and were great, shipping was great, delivered right inside my garage. Assembly was easy and tractor started up and ran with no problem. Little disappointed this tractor didn't have some of the features MTD has on other models, like no parking brake, doesn't have the option of reverse with blades engaged. My biggest problem was when I went to install the mulching kit I bought for it. I couldn't get the nuts holding the blades on to break loose, started with a box wrench, went to a socket with a big break over bar and finally used an impact wrench with 100psi air pressure and it hammered on each one for 15 to 20 seconds before they finally broke loose. This tells me they are using an impact wrench at the factory to install these even though they give torque specs in the manual. If they are all this way good luck getting your blades off. As for the mulching kit made by MTD seems to be discharging out under the right side of the deck where the chute is plugged up and not lifting grass up like it should.

Having mowed lawns both privately & commercially during my past half century of walking the yards seeing blades of grass grow-by the way I am near 65yrs of age-I have to say this simple observation about the YardMachine 420cc 42inch dual cutting blade deck setup is a real Bear of a machine no doubts! My acre and a half property went almost 4 months without a mowing due to our contracted lawn maintenance help suffered illnesses being unable to take care of my lawn. So therefore there were weeded areas over 2 feet high and the grass itself was at least a foot and a half above the surface! I un-crated my new machine-put gas and oil in it and turned the key...wow!! It fired right up within seconds and an hour and half later I had mowed my entire one and a half acres without any problem! The multi-geared transmission combined with the optional speed settings allowed me to move through that high grass like it was made of butter! Best little mower-tractor I've ever used-glad I bought this gem of a rider lawn mower it saves me time and fuel costs! Thanks Guys

This is a great lawn mower and has a few features that I have only seen on higher priced mowers - taller tires, and rollers on the mowing deck.

I like it. It cuts the grass good, it rides good and it's "red."

I have followed the instructions but the mower won't start. There are no service companies near me. I have to haul the mower to a local shop to find out what's wrong.

I bought a Yard Machine riding mower,when my son was four years old. He is now 23. This mower is on it's nineteenth summer. I have a big lawn and it has been the best purchase i ever made. It has had new blades a couple of times. A couple of new battery's. But could never say enough how great of a little tractor it has been. It has out lived several that my brother's have paid three times the amount i paid for it. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Has alot of power and walks up and down hills. It is getting a little beat up now, but still rolling. It's part of the family!
