I wanted to love this set & thought it had it all but alas it falls short
I put an absolute ton of research into 2016 4K HDR enabled TV sets and the purchase came down to 3 models. This oneSharp 55" 2016 Aquos 4K LC-55N7000USamsung 50" 2016 4K 49KU7000This one has it all on paper:HDR Support (HDR 10 standard...most content is this but there is Dolby Vision which adds to cost)4K** (This set proved to be a bit controversial as it does not use RGB but RGBW where essentially a pixel is shared to the set of pixels beside it. More on this later)Smart (WebOS is awesome)Price (good deal on paper)Here is what I found out via reading and spending countless hours badgering BB employees to try different content on these sets:To me, picture quality appears in this order (Best to Worst)1. Sharp (I was surprised)2. Samsung (I expected this to be the best...it was close)3. This LGConcerning 4K, it looks different on this LG than the Sammy or the Sharp and that is due to the use of sub pixels. Some experts are arguing that panels made like this cannot do native 4K resolutions. This would like up with what I saw with my eyes. I implore you to look before you purchase as a reviewer earlier made a good point when they said not to count out a tv until you see it yourself. Picture quality is subjective (except for the LG OLED 4K as it is absolutely amazing LOL...still subjective but don't check that one out and then look at these). The Sharp is inexpensive, has screen casting, web browser (HTML5 and no Flash) but has limited apps. It has the HDR 10 standard. This has a 60hz refresh rate but 120hz effective (basically artificially). The Samsung has a good picture, casting, 4K, HDR 10 standard but this TV has issues with screen judder. This is a lot more expensive than the other 2.This LG isn't a bad set, it is just up in the air whether the way they display 4K is actually 4K. They did this in order to save money to pass it onto consumers. It is a great price and brand. One thing all these sets above have in common is that they are all 8 Bit panels and not 10 Bit. That means HDR won't be as beautiful but will still look better than no HDR.My tips for what to look for in a 4K TV:If you can afford it, try to get a 10 Bit panel and also a TV with Dolby Vision and HDR 10 (Only higher end sets by LG and Vizio M Series). If you are like me and believe that HDR is still developing and want a good picture on a bigger TV, I'd suggest the Sharp. All the above TV's do 4K at 60Hz on at least 2 HDMI inputs and 4K 30Hz on the other HDMI input(s). The Sharp has 3 USB ports and 1 of the 3.0 standard.Good Wifi: The Sharp has dual band ac wifi and hasn't dropped internet once in almost a month nowGood internet: A 4K TV needs 28 to 30Mbps (megabits per second; there are 8 megabits in every Megabyte...confusing I know). HDR adds another 3Mbps required so about 31Mbps download speed for both. Ultraflix requires only about 8 to 15 so compression must be good. Also, the average SD movie is about a Gigabyte. The average HD is 2 to 5 GB and some 4K movies can be up to 50 or more GB each! If you have a data cap on your internet, be careful to avoid overages. Most of the 4K content is on the internet so this is especially important for now.Overall, I just recommend you check for yourself at a store and go with what your heart desires (and wallet can handle).

A good TV for the price
It's quite nice really and I would recommend it for the asking price. There is a lot of room for improvement in my opinion however. First, there is too much light when there should be black. I was not able to adjust the picture to remedy this. If you watch it in a bright room you may never notice but I like to watch TV in dark rooms. My biggest complaint, and this will apply to many other TVs out there, is that the input/outputs on the back of the TV would be much better placed on the bottom or side since, when mounted on a wall, the cables hit the wall and that is what part of the TV rests on. Of course I could mount the TV a few inches from the wall but I really prefer it to be as flush as possible.I have to say that the TV looks really great if you look at it dead center (up/down & right/left). If you get even a little too high, too low, or more than about a foot to the left or right then too much light starts creeping in to what should be darker parts of the image.Overall I like it and believe that, at this time, it is a good choice for anyone wanting to get a nice TV on a lower budget.Just in case any TV manufacturers out there read this I have a suggestion: Drop a decorative cable holder, perhaps white with dimensions of 1/4"x2"x8' that houses all the TV's various inputs/outputs. At the other end of the cable, have a little box, and on that box have all of the inputs/outputs and the power cable for the TV; i.e. all the things that are now on the backs, bottoms, and sides of the TVs. That way all of the connections would be in one easily accessible place and would look better than having multiple wires hanging down from it. Also, people wouldn't have their cables hitting the wall behind their TVs!

If you have an Xbox One S this is a great choice!
Got this baby today and just WOW! I'm currently watching the Denver-Carolina football game and it is soooo clear and beautiful. Some reviews on this site say that it is blurry, but no its not! Possibly, they just have basic cable or some other non Hi-Def source their watching, because when I tune my TV to a non Hi-Def channel it can look a little blurry close up. But let me tell ya, if you got Hi-def or 4K running, the picture is nothing short of spectacular!I recently purchased one of the new Xbox One S systems that plays 4K Blu-Rays and it works great with this TV. I only have one 4K movie so far, Ghostbusters(the original). I swear to you when I played it it looked like it was being performed Live. There is such a clarity difference between 1080p and 4K its unbeleivable. However this set does upconverting so even 1080p still looks much sharper than on a non 4K TV. Games also look spectacular! The "Smart TV" features that I have tried thus far also work very well. Youtube has never looked so good! I suggest searching Youtube for 4k videos as they do have some. The first one I came across was one entitled "Costa Rica in 4K", it only about 5 minutes long but really shows off the 4K abilities of this TV.Some are complaining that the sound quality of this TV is not good. But really, have you seen many flat panel TV,s with great sound? The built in speakers are very clear and just fine for general TV veiwing of programs that dont need awesome sound. With the cabinet being so thin you cant really expect booming bass. You can always add a soundbar and subwoofer or connect to a home theater system. Are there better TV's out there? Sure. But for the money I am well satisfied with my purchase. If I have one complaint it would be that the remote is kinda lame for such a nice TV, its not even backlit, and this TV is NOT compatable with the LG Magic Remote.Another note to mention is that this set was delivered by 2 very friendly and helpful gentelmen in a black van. They unboxed it and mounted it on my TV stand and made no mess. At my request they even took away the box and other packing materials, and assured me if I have any problems within the return limit that they will come back with a new box and return the TV to Amazon and bring a new replacement. So I guess its safe to say that I highly recommend this TV! Get it now!

Not worth it...
This TV was so disappointing, the colors are all washed out it's flimsy and it doesn't really handle 4K well.At times it smooth other times it's jittery and will Stutter from time to time. You can't turn off any processing for the TV which makes gaming on this terrible.now that I'm one year in and after a software update that they forced it's almost unusable now.

We decided to by a L.G. T.V. once our 2 1/2 year old Samsung T.V. died. We had just finished home renovations and purchased all L.G. appliances for our kitchen and so decided to go with L.G. for the T.V. also. At first I was on the fence about this T.V. The setup took some time and trying to tweak the colors wasn't terribly easy. After my husband had a go at it I got my son to give it a try and this seemed to make all the difference!!! We are quite happy with the T.V. It's worked perfectly since we purchased it. The color looks great now and we have had no problems at all. Knock on wood!!

Amazing TV! Make sure you have a large tv stand or wall mount!
TV arrived promptly (quicker than estimated arrival date). Product was factory boxed and extra bubble wrapped for protection.Seller was quick to reply to my questions and shipped product as described. As far as the TV goes, it's excellent bang for the buck. Picture quality and colour is great. Tv has many customization options and Web 3.0 is easy to use and set up. 4k content looks outstanding and the slim brushed metal bezel looks very modern and chic. The only downside to this TV that I was able to identify so far is the TV stands themselves are very wide (about 48") apart and not centre mounted making this require a wide TV stand or wall mounting. Did not fit on my current TV stand and had to improvise a bit.Otherwise amazing product! 10/10 would buy again.

Highly recommended
Good entry level 4K tv. Purchased vizio sound bar for it as well and works great. Both mounted to wall. Sound bar has all cables included (optical). Tv itself is sharp with little tweaking required for my tastes. Use it with Xbox one (no problems with fps games) and kodi box. Excellent value.
