Comfortable and easy to put on and secure.
Great shoes for my super senior father. He has arthritis in his hands and fingers. These shoes have made a huge difference both in ease of securing after putting on but also gives him support which has helped his knees. Going to purchase another pair to save for not everyday wear. Also they come in wides! Thanks Brooks for making this shoe!

Best Walker by Far
I have been buying this Addiction walking model for the past 10+ years. First recommended to me by my podiatrist. Comfortable with terrific padding. As neuropathy affects my hands, the Velcro straps are a lifesaver and fasten firmly. Worth every penny.

Comfortable shoe but tongue is hard to keep smooth
Very comfortable shoe but the tongue tends to wrinkle (not stay flat) when sinched up.

Good shoe, runs large (extra wide)
I like the Brooks brand, especially for their extra wide shoes. Unfortunately, they only offer that for a few of their models.I would not even say my foot is super wide, but the extra wide shoes from Brooks give enough space for your foot to fully expand when planting your foot down. Tight shoes have caused me to injured my feet in the past. For the running/athletic shoes from Brooks, 11 extra wide is the perfect fit for me. The walking shoe is a different beast, I have a pair of white 11s (extra wide) bought for my surgery recovery. My feet slip a tiny bit in them, but they're still comfy. I have a pair of black ones I just got today (Prime try before you buy) in size 10.5. perfection. So, comparatively to other Brooks products, size down a half and you should get the right fit.

Finally, a Shoe for My Soul (and Soles)
I've found the holy grail of shoes. The Brooks Men's Addiction Walker V-Strap 2, the shoe that’s helped my plantar fasciitis and made my big toe pain wave the white flag. Walking in these is like sending my feet on a luxurious cruise (and yes, they wear formal attire with ease). Now, let's address the elephant in the room – or should I say the elevator in my shoes? These bad boys give me a lift of about half an inch, but let me tell you, it feels like I'm suddenly towering over mere mortals by three inches. But hey, at the ripe young age of 72, a little height never hurt anyone. In fact, it’s like an instant senior citizen rite of passage. 😉The soles are as stiff as my morning back, which is a good thing because it means I can walk without feeling like my feet are about to revolt. And those Velcro straps? A godsend. They're not as slip-on-and-go as my old Sketchers, but those sketchy Sketchers are partly to blame for my plantar fasciitis in the first place. So I guess we’re even. These shoes are an absolute game-changer. Not the sexiest pair out there, but let’s be honest, neither am I. If you're looking for pain relief that doesn’t compromise on function, works wonders for hiking and walking, and still manages to fit right in at a cruise dining room on formal night, look no further. The Brooks Addiction Walker V-Strap 2 is the shoe for you.
