Awesome Toy!
I bought this train for my son's first birthday. He instantly fell in love, and still plays with it daily a year later. Whenever other kids come over, this is the hot ticket item. I love that it is educational and teaches him letters, numbers, colors, songs, and stories. My son loves to take his stuffed animals for rides on his train, and he loves to store extra toys in the block bin at the back of the train.Pros:EducationalVolume adjuster or you can turn off the sound and they can still ride the train around with no noise. (I have not done this, though, as the songs do not annoy me)Long battery life. It has not been turned off since we got it a year ago, and it is still going strong with the same set of batteriesCan be used with younger kids as a walker, or with older kids as a ride-on toy, so it grows with your kidThe book pages are very thick and sturdyMultiple modes so your kid doesn't get bored with the same songs/activitiesDurable enough to withstand a crazy toddler who likes to crash into thingsThe block bin at the back has open sides, which allows multiple kids to reach in at the same time and grab blocks to send through the chute at the top. This means no fighting!Really cute!Cons:I honestly can't think of any cons. We absolutely love this toy. It is our most used/favorite baby item we've purchased so far.

Best toy for toddlers!
My daughter received this train as a Christmas gift when she was 9 months. It was instantly her favorite toy. She is now almost 3 years old and still plays with it everyday. When she was small, she would just look the blocks, throw them in the slot, or press the buttons on the train to make it sing. As she grew, she learned to flip the pages and put the letters in the right slots to hear the animals and descriptions associated with each letter. I rarely write reviews. But this toy was so special to her. It's definitely the most crucial toy that introduced her to the alphabet very early on. She learned her alphabet before even colors and numbers. Thank you, VTech!

Kids love it
When it comes to my purchases I rely on people's review. And my favorite part is reading Negative reviews of "special" people. "Special" people unfortunately everywhere and part of our everyday lives and I am not talking about handicapped people. No, God forbid I am not that cruel.Just because some kids do not like or show interest in some toys does not make them intellectually advanced or superior to other kids and this toy does not deserve 1* 2* for that reason. Kids are miniature copies of adults, they have their own personality just like adults and choose their likes just like us adults.Giving 1* 2* for this toy because kid shoved his/her arm in a train shoot is not a fair. Kids learn and discover things by sticking their arms, legs, fingers, toes, heads, tongues and objects in everything that catches their attention and everything you couldn't even think of. And that is inevitable even if you hover over them 24/7. My own youngest 2.5 yo has been and still is very handful and does things that my oldest had never even though of doing. She basically keeps me on my teepee toes, and when she does something or I suspect that she might hurt herself I stop her and note to her that it gives booboo.1* 2* because it did not work. Yes, it can be frustrating to get something that isn't working but s..t happens to all of us. Contact Amazon, initiate return/exchange, be persistent. Again, "special" people everywhere your request might have been ignored by one of them. Call Amazon customer service. You might get yet another "special" person just ask to talk to someone in charge supervisor/manager who will end up solving your issue and most likely get some promotion/discount towards your future Amazon purchases for your inconvenience.1* 2* because there are too many lights and sounds. This toy is intended for young kids. Kids love bright colors, lights and sounds. If you are an adult that gets easily triggered by those things then for the safety of loved ones and people around you do not buy this toy.1* 2* for the toy tilting over and unable to use as walker. Show me one walking toy that won't tilt. If your child just learns to stand up on his/her own and walk on his/her own it's our parents duty to supervise their every step and not just throw toys at them and get mad that kid tilts over with the toy.Yes, I have been annoyed by its sounds at times especially when you wanting a quiet time. I just have my kids play something quieter or turn off the sound for a while. It takes more space that I'd like but my both kids liked and little one still likes playing with it even with lights and sounds turned off. She puts her dolly on it and gives it a ride and teaches her dolly random letters. Cute :)I have purchased 2 as presents and did not hear any negative feedback. One of recipients has a very loud mouth and she wouldn't hold back if anything had been wrong with the toy

Grandson and Granddaughter like it. Seems well made. After several months, no broken parts and they are pretty rough on it being 19 months and 21 months old. I would buy it again.
