Q: What size board is recommended?

It takes up a fair amount of room so you would need at least 4 feet. I did not have a board (special ed doesn't get funding for the most basic items and I was teaching in a storage room). I used a wall and Velcro and it worked well enough. 24 four hours divided into 2 12 hour chunks is a tough concept!!

Q: Can you use this at home? It says it is magnetic. Do you need a special board to display it?

It has a magnetic backing, so a refrigerator or a magnetic white board would work at home.
