Fun and smart game for all ages!
Our whole family loves The Original Mastermind! The kids enjoy it, and honestly, so do I. It’s such a great game for getting everyone to think and strategize — it really gets the mind going. It’s inexpensive, easy to learn, and keeps everyone entertained without screens. A fun classic that never gets old!

A Fine Version of a Great Game
Mastermind is a great game. This is a fine version, but the plastic-drawers are a bit weak. I don't know if a wooden version exists (or how much it would cost), but for the "serious" player that would be a better option. For the casual player who brings this out every now-and-again, this one works just fine.

This is a fun game for those who like strategy.
Mastermind is a code breaking game. It's quick and easy to learn but can be difficult to win. I had this game as a kid and bought it for my kids. We have had it over a year now and they still play it, unlike many other games I have purchased. How to play: One person sets up the code (code master) using colored pegs. The other person (code breaker) needs to break the code in less than 10 tries to win. The code master lets the code breaker know if she/he has the correct colored pegs in the correct order each round. The code breaker has 10 chances to break the code. If the code breaker figures it out he/she gets a point, if not the code master gets the point. Then players switch sides and scores can be kept on the board for most wins. This board is constructed of plastic as well as the pegs. States it is for ages 8 and up. This is pretty accurate as I think it may be a little difficult for younger kids to have this much strategy. I don't think there is an age where someone outgrows the game. Keep in mind, this game has a ton of small pieces that can be lost or put in the mouth. This is something to keep in mind if purchasing for a gift.

One of my favorite board games
One of the best board games. I used to play this with my father when I was a kid. Finding this again and remembering it was an absolute gem. There’s just something overall nostalgic about this addictive game.

Approved for all ages
Ok. I'm old. So, I remember the original version of this game and the gosh awful loud coloring. This new version is sleek and modern. Regardless, of which version you have this game is so fun. Purchased for a 10 year old, said 10 year old has had a blast being the codebreaker. It's a bit more of a challenge for him as a code maker. There are plenty of teachable moments as I get the opportunity to coach him through strategic play. The older family members enjoy it too. It's a quick game to play through which is nice. You can bust out a quick play while dinner is on the stove or you're waiting for practice to start.

Great game
Great old school game that requires one to think and use process of elimination to problem solve and figure out the answer.

This is a game of logic and good for anyone that likes a challenge. Also good for sparking a bit of friendly competition between 2 people. To play it with more people, you could try playing in teams or do a round robin type playoff, to see who can break the code in the least number of guesses. Loved playing this in my youth and bought it an an activity for my international student. We have enjoyed several hours of (competitive) game playing. Thanks!

Wir sind mit dem Spiel sehr zufrieden! Es ist stabil. Die Stecker gehen gut rein und raus. Wer das alte Spiel kennt, kann zufrieden mit dieser Ausführung sein. Wir haben viel Spaß.
