Chessex 30039 Dice, Multi-Colour

I like the weight of metal dice, but they can damage rolling surfaces. These dice are almost as heavy, but made of plastic, so no damage. I love these.

The media could not be loaded.  I was hesitant to purchase these, because the image in the description did not include the special "Lab-Dice" D6 die OR the original Test tube packaging. But as seen in the video, it actually came with with everything Including the original SKU beneath the Amazon SKU. My only complaint is, when purchasing these new, they used to come with I piece of foam on the lid to allow the Dice some cushion before denting the metal lid of the Test tube. This one did not have any cushioning, and was Very dented up when it arrived. Otherwise 10/10. I'll report weights compared to usual Chessex later. Apparently they are supposed to be 60+% Heavier than original Chessex dice sets.

The heavy dice are about as heavy as metal dice. The edges are relatively sharp compared to most Chessex dice. That keeps the heavy dice from rolling too far. I like the minimal packaging, like a test tube with a screw cap. I also like that it is a D&D style set of 7 plus a d6 that's pipped instead of numbered in addition to the numbered d6 in the set. That means the set can be split for both people who like pipped d6 dice and people who like the RPG-style set.

I received 8 dice, but am missing the 12-sided, 10-sided, and 6-sided dice.The dice themselves are great and deserve a 5 star review.

I have these in both the green and the orange. The weight is just right. I wish I could get them in more colors because they've spoiled me for normal dice. I really hope they pick these up for full production or at least make a few more lab sets.
