A high quality, super quiet cooler, with a long life ball bearing fan.
I am using this in a Thermtake V1 cube case, which has limitations on cooler height, and it fits and works perfectly.CO mean Continuous Operation, referring to the fact that this cooler has a long life dual ball bearing fan, so you should be able to expect YEARS of trouble free operation - especially in a motherboard with thermal fan speed control where it will be running at lower speeds most of the time.In my case, under non-stressed conditions, this cooler's fan runs at only half speed to cool my 65W TDP I7-6700 cpu.Even when I intentionally force the BIOS to ramp up the fan to full RPM it's still whisper quiet, and at the speeds it usually runs at with my CPU it's totally silent.Note that this fan requires installing an X shaped lower plastic bracket on the BOTTOM side of the motherboard, requiring rear side access, so if you are looking for a simple snap in mount like the stock cooler, then this may not be a good choice.Even after you have the motherboard removed, installing the cooler properly does require some care in tightening the four screws uniformly with even tension, AND TO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN THEM (which could damage your motherboard). This isn't all that difficult given that the supplied ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste is fairly low viscosity stuff, and doesn't require a whole lot of downward pressure to spread out evenly and do a good job. So if you just crosswise tighten up all four screws gently to a snug even (but not super-tight) pressure then you should be fine.It also requires just a little finesse to unsnap and re-snap the fan without bending any of the fins (since you will need to remove it to easily tighten up the screws on that side) - but I didn't have any problems. Now that it's installed, looking at the cooling performance, I do think that the spec'd 150 watt cooling capacity rating may be a little overly optimistic. Could be that 150W of cooling is just within the bounds of possibility if you assume 20C inlet air and 80C allowable CPU case temperatures, but those would not be numbers I would consider very reasonable. Fortunately, my build's I7 CPU is only generates 65W TDP which lets it max out at 60C or less with this cooler, even when running the Prime95 torture test on a really warm day (something the stock Intel cooler could not do) - while running quite a bit more quietly than the stock cooler - so for my purposes it's working fantastically well.

Good Compact Cooler
Nice compact cooler. One of the easiest to work with I have ever seen, and mounts securely to an Intel motherboard. The enclosed thermal paste is highly regarded, and temps have been fine. The ball-bearing fan should be long-lasting, and is virtually silent, even under load. Recommended - would buy again.

Three Stars
Did not fit my super micro x9srl mobo, but will use it for a different build

Bent Fins
Probably Amazon Prime's fault, but it came with some bent fins. The second one I ordered was ok.

worse than stock
I never thought I'd see the day when I swapped out an aftermarket cooler for a stock one, but here it is.This cooler runs a good 10-20c higher on my 1151 CPUAdding to this, the thing is an absolute nightmare and mess to actually get WORKING with the CPU. Whomever thought of this garbage needs to be fired. Just wrong on all accounts.

Does a great job cooling an i5 processor
Does a great job cooling an i5 processor. Fits mid-sized tower cases, but yet works efficiently. Impressive item for the job.

Prodotti artic freeezer molto validi a mio avviso.
