Yardley Sandalwood Perfumed Talc, 250 g

Cornstarch based (baby) powders are not ideal as foot powders because athlete's foot and nail fungi can use cornstarch as food. Talc, a mineral, is superior in this regard. However, asbestos sometimes contaminates talc, depending on the source. So, it is important to not breathe in powdered talc. This is true for very fine particles, in general, because they can become trapped in one's lungs. A little care in application will go a long way in this regard. This talc has a pleasant smell that is far from overpowering; in fact I only notice it when applying the powder to my feet; I do not smell it later in the day when I remove my shoes or change to slippers. If this were not the case, I would not use it; I don't wish to be emitting odors, especially cloying ones - and this sandalwood is not cloying at all. The bottom line is I've been using it for years, and have been very pleased at its fragrance, how long a tin lasts, and how effective it is at keeping my toes dry.

I am very satisfied w/the REAL TALC powder...I have used the rose, lavender and sandalwood scents.ALL are beautiful smelling and a much better product and value for my $.Keep an eye on the price - it can/does fluctuate. I usually purchase multiple containers when the price drops.Switching from my old standard--- which is no longer real talc, was a great decision!

I've been using Yardley products since I was a teenager. Does anyone remember Yardley Pot O'Gloss lip color? :)This talc is so nice and smooth,the sandalwood fragrance is wonderful. It has become so difficult to find talc anywhere but I love the feel of powder. It's A great value and I hope Yardley does not ever change nor discontinue this product.

Being a FREQUENT Amazon shopper..I usually do not do reviews but I’ll make an exception for this product. The 1st time I ordered (1) ImperialSandalwood talcum powder.…I was pleasantly surprised…the scent was not overpowering but soft the smoothness of talc was nice… overall a great product..nice price…Not wanting to run out,I placed another order….(2 this time)….this product arrived different…the container had a different flower scene on the metal can...the scent was ABOUT the same….the smoothness was alittle coarser…the color now has a pale yellowish tint to it…but the biggest change was that ZINC OXIDE for ‘ sun protection’ was added.Not quite sure why zinc oxide was added for ‘ sun protection’ when GENERALLY the parts of the body ( I am speaking only for myself) powder is applied is not exposed to the sun …It would be nice for the manufacturers of products to let the consumers know when they decide to change their products….looks like I have acquired 2 powders whether I like it or not.

Very good product in nice container

If this company thought adding zinc to this once perfect product, they struck out! Adding zinc has caused my white shirts to turn a yellowish brown in the arm pit area of the shirt. There is no way to get this color out! My shirts are permanently stained as i have tried all kinds of stain removers and stain remover tricks. Arg… please take out the zinc. I never want the sun to be on the places i put this powder anyway. I won’t be able to buy your product if you do not take the zinc out!
