"KO Version" Transformers Masterpiece MP-17 Prowl

Let me start by saying this arrived November 4th, a full week-and-a-half EARLY from the earliest shipping estimate! If you're worried about buying this and waiting forever, my experience was very reassuring.That said, I couldn't decide on 2 or 3 stars. I don't hate this KO version of Prowl, but I'm also not happy with it. I have four other actual Takara Tomy Masterpiece Transformers and the quality is noticeably better on those. KO Prowl looks good; the paint seems good, but many of the joints are loose, especially in the ankles and hips and I see no way to tighten them. Some segments of Prowl don't quite line up/tab in as they should - I can't have the roof tabbed into the shoulders because it doesn't quite reach high enough unless I untab the chest/hood and lift it up a bit, which looks very awkward. And try as I might, I cannot get him to stand straight. His right leg seems a just a bit too long, which doesn't make sense because he looked okay in vehicle form. Might have something to do with the loose hip joints.I might be a bit harsh here - like I said, if you're a fan of the masterpiece series, this KO prowl does look good and if all you have to spend is $30, it would be an ok substitute. The box looks like Masterpiece, the packaging was good, accessories were good. And the quick shipping was a very happy surprise! But with the loose joints and sketchy segment fit, he just feels very fragile. I don't want to transform him again because of that, and that is REALLY taking away from the experience for me. I had it to do over again I wouldn't buy KO Prowl; I'd step up and buy the legit Masterpiece Prowl. I was planning to get KO versions of Wheeljack, Lambor and Ironhide, but not after this experience. Save up a little extra and get the legit Takara Tomy versions. You'll be happier.

I was skeptical about a KO, but this was the only way that I was going to purchase this figure...until it's possibly/eventually released by Hasbro in the US. The construction seemed very high quality and I couldn't tell that this wasn't a legit figure. It came with a black and silver shoulder-fire missle/gun (it's not one of the one's that's spring loaded and shoots, so I'm not sure).This came much, much faster than the posted transit time and it was packaged very nicely. I would purchase from this seller again and actually did...I ordered the KO MP-12.

This toy is perfect. Transformation is pretty straight forward and the toy is solid in both vehicle and robot forms. The robot form looks A LOT like the G1 character and toy, but with tons more posability than the original G1 toy. He stands very stably in robot form which is perfect if you are buying this toy to display on a desk or shelf.I have a few other "official" Takara/Hasbro Masterpiece Transformers and honestly the quality of this toy is as good or better than the official ones I own. A lot of knock-off toys have noticeably quality issues but I haven't been able to find a flaw in this toy that doesn't also exist on the official ones. Over all this figure is an excellent value and very high quality. Mine came with the two shoulder cannons which are an extra add-on for the official version of this toy.Keep in mind these toys are meant for adult collectors. They have small parts and thin panels that can break with enough force so they shouldn't really be given to small children

Mine came with paint chips all over the head of the prowl. the red paint used to color the front of his head splashed onto the rest of the helmet. Furthermore, there was a smudge on the autobot symbol that made it distorted. Also, one side of his face was not painted properly white. (In the pictures you can compare the paintjobs on both sides). I don't know if mine is a factory defect or not, but I hope the producers can do something about it.

Great display piece. Wasn't looking for anything to put some serious play into, so this is why I opted for the KO version instead of the official Takara version. Strong ratchets. Too strong in some areas IMO, but overall a solid piece. With all KO versions though, I would be very careful with constant transformation since they probably use cheaper plastic. Hence, just using it for display, BUT doesn't mean it's a piece of junk. I'd say YouTube for reviews before buying anything., But I love it. Oh, and got here WAY WAY faster than anticipated. So far already bought three from these guys.

Awesome figure at half the price of an official MP figure. KO quality is very comparable to MP. Iooks great!

Delivery was quick, especially for a product coming from overseas. The robot looks great and very detailed. Considering the price I would say the quality is very good.

As with my previous review with KO sideswipe, I'm happy with this version. The only thing loose is his left shoulder cannon, also noticed some over paint on locations that for me does not really matter once it is on display. Other than that I'm happy with the purchase.

Looks beautiful

It looks good, and the price was far more reasonable than the official version. The only issue I have is a loose hip joint, but that can be fixed.

Super articulate! Great transformer toy.I needed to hold my order and the seller was a little pushy, but it all worked out.

Took me back to my childhood. Not too hard to transform and looks great on my shelf.
