Very happy with this item, works great on my laptop, would highly recommend.

Yes it's quite...but it takes ages to read a disc and will not burn. I've tried this on two laptops and it's the same on both. Does NOT do what it says on the tin! Beware do not buy. I will try to return this but don't hold much hope of a satisfactory outcome.

This is not a fancy drive and definitely not a speedy drive, but it does the job which for the money is all you can really expect it to do

Seeks password and other software prior to use. It does not simply 'plug in and play' as advertised!

Not sure if I got a dodgy one or not but this is actually not a DVD player, it says it is in the description and I read reviews that people have played movies on it, however when I plugged it in, all’s it did was give me the option to burn my desktop memory to a blank disk. Also it says it’s compatible with MacOS but the instructions that came with it are only general for a normal desktop. None of the instruction options are on my MacBook.Update:I tried it on my mums chrome book and I had the same problem. This “external dvd drive” doesn’t work at all!
