Excellent adapter!
I was looking to purchase a USB>Ethernet adapter for my Series2 Tivo. Since the Tivos are known to be a little picky about the adapter used, I did a lot of research to find out what was out there. This adapter kept popping up, so even though it's not listed on Tivo's website ([...] I decided it was worth a shot. It had gotten great reviews pretty much everywhere. The adapter (TU2-ET100) arrived yesterday. The USPS shipping was a bit slow, having actually PASSED my house in route to another hub before coming to me. But the packing was good, and it was in a nice box with a CD and fairly basic instruction book. I did not need either. The adapter itself is pretty light weight, but not fragile. It's a little boxy, but that actually is a good thing as I want it to sit flat. Within a second of plugging this in to my Tivo, it had obtained an IP address from my router and was churning away with full-duplex speed! The world of networked Tivo has opened lots of cool doors, thanks to this simple little adapter! According to the box, this adapter WILL work with the Nintendo Wii, as well. Note to those looking... BE CAREFUL not to mistake this with the TRENDnet USB to 10/100Mbps Adapter (TU-ET100C) adapter, which sells for a similar price (slightly cheaper) and looks more "modern", but only operates on the USB 1.1 specification. Also note... don't waste your time going to Best Buy. They don't sell these, and the guy who offered to help me find it told me matter-of-factly that "there is no such thing as a USB>Ethernet adapter." Sure thing, buddy.

works with Roku soundbar.
Like they said... it works perfectly with a Roku Soundbar. I know it sounds backwards to go to a "Fast" ethernet.. and trust me, I have some GigE to USB adapters, but Roku specifically calls for a 100baseT jobbie. Got this, plugged it in, I had the Roku set to wireless, as soon as I plugged this in, it immediately got its IP ADDR from our local DHCP server and off it went. Works as advertised, and for video streaming to a single unit, 100 baseT is more than fast enough. Recommended.

Great for HP ProLiant ML350 Gen10 connection time ILO5
This review is for a specific use: Connecting a laptop to a Server's ILO so there's technical jargon that may not mean much if you're just using this to adapter to connect your computer to a network. I use it to plug into the ILO USB jack in the front of HP ProLiant ML350 Gen10 servers. You don't need Gigabit speed for this so 10/100 is fine. You can connect directly to ILO5 interface without having to plug the regular ILO network port (in the back of the server) into the LAN and do any other setup on the server. 1 - Plug the USB end into the ILO USB port in the FRONT of the Server 2 - Plug a network patch cable between this adapter and your laptop's ethernet network port 3 - Set your laptop with a static IP address of 169.254.1.3 / 255.255.255.0 / 169.254.1.1 4 - Open up Chrome and go to 169.254.1.2 and you're immediately connected to the server's ILO5 web interface. Super easy, works well, built solidly (enough for this use) and inexpensive.

It works but it's not the right Chipset
It works but not for what I needed it for, the chipset that came with mine says AX88772C and It's not AX88772A like the listing says so the listing title is misleading

NOT Compatible with the WiiU.
It's either a gamble with which chipset you get, or they don't even make the type that's Wii/WiiU compatible.

Great for connecting a TiVo Series 2 DVR w/ Powerline Ethernet
First, many thanks for Michael D. Adams review on using this adapter to connect his TiVo Series 2 DVR, his review gave me confidence I could convert from a Wireless adapter to a Wired Adapter. My Humax TiVo Series 2 DVR with DVD has only a USB port, no Ethernet port, so the TRENDnet USB to TU2-ET100 Ethernet Adapter was needed. With my DSL router on the second floor front of the home, TV/TiVo on the first floor rear of the home, and wireless connectivity typically "Poor" (though OK to update the schedules each day) I decided to try to use a ZyXEL PLA407 HomePlug AV 200 Mbps Powerline Wall-Plug Adapter (Starter Kit - 2 Units - http://www.amazon.com/ZyXEL-HomePlug-Powerline-Wall-Plug-Adapter/dp/B003ULOZ5W ) to connect to the TiVo box. I had previously set-up another ZyXEL PLA407 starter kit to connect my Apple Airport Extreme to the DSL Router between the room where the router lives and my home office(which works perfectly. So buying another starter kit I was able to take one ZyXEL PLA407 and plug it in next to the TV/TiVo box, connect via a 2' CAT6 Ethernet cable to the TRENDnet adapter and just as Michael said the TiVo box instantly recognized the new wired set-up. I confirmed Internet connectivity by doing a Schedule Update as well as On-line features access - all A-OK - and delighted it was plug & play. While I recognize the DSL speed will challenge Video On-Demand through TiVo I like the fact that I now have a Powerline=based wired connection over the spotty wireless connection. I highly recommend both the TRENDnet adapter and the ZyXEL PLA407 Powerline, both purchased via Amazon.

Worked perfectly for my Roku Smart Soundbar
For some unknown reason, Roku did not include an ethernet port on their Smart Soundbar. I mean, why in the world would you want high-bandwidth, low latency connectivity for a high-definition streaming device, right?!? Sheesh. Anyway, they *do* include a USB-A port, and they do support a limited number of USB ethernet adapters, including this specific one. I plugged it in and it worked immediately! Great throughput, no wireless lag, and no saturation of my wifi network with streaming. Note that the USB-A port is the old, rectangular, only-plugs-in-one-way technology and is also has lower throughput than modern-day USB-C ports, so the throughput on this ethernet adapter is limited to a theoretical maximum of 100 megabits per second (mbps). In reality I get around 70-80 mbps, which is more than enough for very high definition content streaming. Highly recommended.

Finally - one that comes with a driver for XP
This lovely gadget was just what I needed. First I should note, I received the BLUE item pictured, not the white one. It came nicely boxed with a drivers CD which thankfully had a nice unobtrusive driver that installs easily in a WINDOWS XP SP2 environment - just what I needed. I tried a few cheaper $5 adapters, and they all lacked a compatible driver. One seller even tried to tell me his would work just fine with no driver, even though XP kept asking for one. Spend the $10 extra on this one - it isn't worth risking a virus and wasting your time searching around online for drivers that may or may not work. Go ahead - laugh and snicker all you want at me for using an operating system that is at least 4 generations behind the times and no longer even supported by its maker. I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and no one has yet given me a compelling reason to upgrade.

WORKS LIKE A CHARM! You won't be disappointed, especially if you've been suffering with the WiFi...
Is FULLY compatible with the Wii U as reviews online said it would. INFINITELY better than the built-in system's WiFi ANY day of the week. Didn't require anything to get it working other than plugging it in to one of the two USB ports in back of the system, and changing the setting in the Wii U setup itself under 'System Settings'--->Internet :D

Works great with Google Chromecast (v2.0) out of the box
I bought this to use with a Google Chromecast (v2.0) and it works perfectly. Combined with a USB OTG Y-cable (so has power and comms) it is plug and play. I took it with me recently to a trip to the States and used it with a TPLink WR702N travel router. It meant I could stream for my G4 to the chromecast using LocalCast and YouTube. Never had any stuttering or dropped performance I use it at home with Emby Media Server to cast to a 24" HDMI monitor. It quite happily casts 1080p MKVs from my Blu-Ray rips. Very pleased!

THIS IS A SCAM.
They state it is AX88772A and compatible with Wii, however when I tried it, It did NOT WORK! And its NOT EVEN AX88772A, It's AX88772C Which the Wii doesn't support.
