I installed string lights in my screened in porch but there's not switch to control the power outlet they plug into. I was going to buy an extension cord with an inline switch, then saw this plug. It works great. Now, when I go out to the porch, I simply say Alexa turn on the porch lights, and they are on! I can also control it thru my Google Home device. The two plugs are nice. I plan to use the second one to control Christmas lights when the season arrives.

What else can I say? The price was affordable. It was easy to set up and it works as described for what I'm doing. I'm not using Alexa but only the Popotan app on my Android phone. We connected it to an outdoor plug that's out of the weather under a covered patio so it will never see rain and it's powering about 100' of Edison LED string lights that run across the yard. It just works.

It’s easy to setup and program on/off events. Unfortunately you can’t program the level of dimming. Dimming is only set manually. Also the 2 outlets are NOT independent. They act the same.

So far I am happy with this product. The plug has a QR code on it that doesn't work. You have to use the QR code in the included manual to download the app to sync this to your smart phone or tablet. The app is call Popotan. Once I downloaded the app and synced the switch, remote control from my Android phone was a breeze. I use this switch to control my light string of Edison bulbs I have on my back patio gazebo. The dimmer function was the deciding factor for me but it also has a "timer" function so the switch will automatically turn off my lights at the time I program.

The media could not be loaded.  I dont know if my 48ft x 2 strings of Amico LED Outdoor string light set is the problem, if I got a defective dimmer unit, or Im using the wrong app, but when I use the app and set it between 1% and 7%, the lights flash on and off. (See video). From 8% to 100%, its full brightness. There is no “dimming” taking place with this dimmer, using the Popotan app. Both plugs produce the same results.Im sad because the Alexa integration, solid wifi connections, compact and quality design, and ease of consistant results, make this just about perfect otherwise. I will probably have to return it.Maybe it just wasnt meant to be.

This plug connected quickly and setup was a breeze. The plug does just what it is supposed to do. It dims perfectly and even with so many bulbs it is a soft enough light. The warm tone of the bulbs is a great evening outside light color.

Works very well with Alexa. Easy to set up and no issues. Reasonable price.

The smart plug works fine, but has a couple limitations - you can't individually control the two outputs. This would have been nice, but it is mentioned in the description. Second: while you can change the brightness manually, you can NOT control it via automation in the Smart Life app. You can only turn it on or off. This is not mentioned in the description.
