NUXFireman Distortion Effect Pedal Dual Channel Brown Sound

Can't believe how much drive comes out of this! I keep the gain set to about 9 o'clock and that gives a really nice sound. Had to turn treble all the way down and same with the knob called "tight". Also set the presence to about 9 o'clock as well. Glad there are these other controls so I can really dial in the sound I want.

I bought this pedal after seeing it was a based on the Friedman OBE dual pedal and seeing some videos comparing the two. For the price, it's close enough for me. I need one style of sound out of the pedal and this pedal nails it and has enough controls to tweak depending on the amp or IR I'm doing into. Plus it has a 2nd channel for getting a little more/less gain/volume for leads or other sections where you want a similar sound.With the gain turned all the way down, there's gain going on. So if you're looking for something that cleans up on it's own, this pedal is not it. It does clean up ok dialing back the guitar vol.It pairs great with the NUX Solid Studio for going direct. It pairs great with tube amps.Build quality is great. Knobs and switches are solid.

Wow! A great distortion pedal. Im typically a clean tone player and have had a hard time finding a crunch pedal I like. But the search is over for Me (for now) LOL! ... I do highly recommend this pedal if you want a crispy good crunch/lead tone

It's a good sounding pedal but not as much gain that it's name would suggest.

Vanhalen brown sound that will not break the bank that you can twist and tweak for guitar sound heaven at a reasonable price too!!!

53 years playing, mostly with multi stomp boxes. Not doing that any more. Was originally regretting not getting one with noise gate, but found a separate could be used on multiple "noisy" pedals.
