D'Addario J97 Greek Bouzouki Strings

I remember the first time I used D'addario strings; it was in 1994 when my cheap Ernie Ball high E string key breaking and the guy at Guitar Center recommended a set of D'addario 9-42's (EXL-120's). I'm hardly a brand loyalist but D'addario is just one of those companies that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling from years of flawless performance, consistency, and quality. I must've installed hundreds of sets of D'addario EXL-120's over the years and have never had an issue EVER. So, you're probably thinking, what does ANY of this have to do with their Bouzouki strings? Well, since I've owned my authentic Greek Bouzouki I've always had a hell of a time changing them. Why? Because they're a special gage and have a loop end instead of a ball. Since owning the Bouzouki I only changed the strings once since I don't play it much. Just for the heck of it, I searched "Bouzouki Strings" on Amazon and look who shows up as a result? D'addario. Could this be a mistake? Is their some other Bouzouki I'm unaware of? The gages looked right so I figured what the heck. Yes folks, these strings work PERFECTLY on a Greek Bouzouki. That snappy aggressive and rustic tone is there in spades and the tuning is rock stable. D'addario, you are one of my favorite companies ever and will always have my business because you make a great product. For ANY instrument.

These worked really well on an old Rose flower Bouzouki I inherited from family in Greece.They seem to hold up to heavy playing (daily) and I also treat them with string conditioner (as you would guitar strings).Packaged well and arrived quickly. Nothing was missing or damaged.

Good basic strings for the CFAD tuning Greek bouzouki, not the best strings in the world, but good. I play on GDAD for Celtic tuning presently, so I keep these strings for emergencies.

Package string sequence description has the large and small diameter for the F and C strings reversed. I strung the A strings and one of them broke at the loop end. Very disappointed.

I used these strings for my Irish Bouzouki and they are the only strings I will buy. Great tone, stretch quickly, nice flexibility, and very durable.

these strings were purchased for an entry level instrument and so far have lived up to the expectation and beyond.the quality is the usual d'addario just like their guitar strings,i expect them to last for a long time.generally speaking when it comes to MOR strings d'addario are a major contestant and personally i use them on all budget instruments.they might not be the best for tone and certainly wont add personality to the sound,on an acoustic instrument,but you get a lot of string for your money.

Good quality strings, as per usual from D'Addario, that soon settle down after restringing and hold their pitch. Produce great sound & tone from my Greek bouzouki. Adequately packaged and delivered on time.

I have tried other strings but for my Bouzouki theses are the ones, nice sound and grade.
