Perfect Solution for Reviving My Soundbar
I recently faced a frustrating issue with my Samsung TV when the port for my optical audio link broke (TOSLINK). Being out of warranty, the repair costs were prohibitive. This left me unable to use my first-generation Sonos Playbar, and I was on the verge of selling it on an auction site. However, I decided to explore my options one last time and came across the 4K@60Hz HDMI Audio Extractor on Amazon.I reached out to the seller for confirmation, and they responded within a day, informing me that the product would work if my TV had an HDMI ARC port. Fortunately, it did. I purchased the item, connected my Sonos Playbar via the optical link cable to the HDMI extractor, and then to the HDMI ARC port on the TV.I'm pleased to report that this setup works exceptionally well. Although there is a slight lag in volume adjustment—taking a bit longer when turning it up or down—the functionality of having my Sonos Playbar working again outweighs this minor inconvenience. The seller's customer service was excellent. Their prompt response and helpful advice made all the difference. I highly recommend this product to anyone in a similar situation. It's a fantastic solution to keep older audio equipment functional with newer TV models.

Inconsistent device function - audio extraction, inconsistent input switch not functioning correctly
I bought the 4K@60Hz Audio Extractor with high expectation but was a disappointment - performance & reliability far too poor.1. the most significant issue with this audio extractor is its inconsistent functionality. It frequently fails to extract audio, leaving me with no audio output or sound disruptions. This inconsistency is incredibly frustrating defeating the purpose of using the extractor!2. the input switch does not function correctly with the 3 different audio passes and 5.1. It fails to extract audio within the correct inputs. And 3. there wasn't even a power adaptor available with my kit!

Device has to be switched on every time it's powered up
The audio extraction of this product works fine for the price, only a very faint hiss can be heard with the amplifier turned up to full volume, also I never got round to checking but I wondered if the RH speaker was slightly quieter than the left. The main issue I had, the image on Amazon shows the eARC Audio Extraction on/off switch as a slide switch which can be left permanently in the eARC Extraction On position. The product that was delivered had a momentary push switch, press once to turn on eARC Audio Extraction and once again to turn it off. Firstly I powered the converter using a 5v USB socket on my amplifier - every time the amplifier turned off (which it does when the TV is turned off), the power to the converter was lost and upon the next power cycle the eARC Audio Extraction button has to be pressed again. I then tried powering the converter with a separate 5v supply but still we get regular power-cuts about once a week, and with the eARC Extraction off, my TV reverts back to using it's internal speakers. So I found myself having to walk over to the converter hidden behind my amp, fumble around to find the eARC push button then go through the long chuggy options menu on my TV to turn eARC output on again.Real shame they changed the design of this converter, a slide switch would have been fine. If the device could just remember it's last state before power loss or default as eARC Audio Extraction on!

Magic little box!
I bought this splitter as I use a monitor without an audio output or built in speakers with my switch and I wanted to connect my sound bar to it. So easy to use and understand, had it set up and sound blasting within 2 minutes! One HDMI out from the monitor into splitter, USB cord from the splitter into my switch dock, audio jack from speaker into splitter and HDMI into splitter and out from my switch dock.Sounds complicated but super easy and much much cheaper than buying a new monitor. I’m very happy!
