The media could not be loaded. Worked like a charm. The bit is the right size for the hinge; the jig made sure the bit was straight and drilled to the right depth. Knob adjustments on edge to position cutting area for different placement. Easy--peasy!

This takes all the guess work out of drilling holes for the hidden hinges. The adjustable "bumpers" are incredible. I had a scrap piece of wood to test on (I highly recommend that), so I figured out the perfect setting for them. It only has 2 "offset" settings (3" & 4") which is how far the hinge is from the top/bottom, but that's enough.Once you figure out your settings (a 10 minute process), it really is as simple as clamping it down, drilling the screw holes, and drilling the hinge receptacle. You can put 2 hidden hinges on a door in 5 minutes. I did 8 doors in less than an hour with this jig with NO ERRORS!I only drilled 16 holes, so I can't speak to the jig's longevity, but it's not flimsy, so I expect it'll last a while. Two recommendations to users: 1) have two drills and 2) drill the screw holes first. 1) The first door I did, I switched from the bit to drill the hinge receptacle to the bit to drill the holes for screws. Having 2 drills kept me from doing that. Borrow one if you need to. 2) When I drilled the hinge receptacle first, debris and dust got all in the template screw holes, so I drilled the screw holes first and THEN the hinge receptacle. Problem solved.I would buy this item again!! I may buy it as a gift.

I haven't even tried this yet. I'm just saying that the instructions are so tiny, printed on the outside of the box. The text is maybe 1/64th of an inch tall. Totally unreadable. I had to get my camera, set on macro mode, to photograph the instructions so that I could blow them up in Photoshop and print them out, so that I can read them.I guess the tool itself looks OK. I'll let you know if it's not...

A really nice piece of equipment for doing recess on your door. Hinges will save you a lot of money of buying a router. Makes the cut and counter sink really nice really adorable. I did a total of 25 doors. Two hinges on each door stay sharp through the whole ordeal.

After drilling 9 holes with the guide, the holes started getting out of round, the shaft bushing wore down and the drill shaft had more than 1/16" of play. Almost ruined a new cabinet door. The plastic guide looked like it started to melt from heat generated by the drilling. I even used oil on the shaft. The bit was not very sharp, it took more time to bore a hole. Maybe that's why the guide started to fail.Finally, I gave up and went back to the old fashion way of marking the position and drilling without the guide. Much faster and accurate, did another 20 bores perfectly.

I used this for installing about 20 cabinet doors made from MDF. Solid blade with no dullness at the end of it.

The only negative I have about this tool is the bushing is wearing out after only 4 holes drilled. Maybe it should be made of better metal.

I am currently remodeling my kitchen cabinets by removing old hardware and repainting to a more modern look. I needed to drill into the wood for the new soft-close hinges, and this jig kit has everything I need to do this! I am no woodworker, but as a single woman owning my own home, I've been learning to do the things needed to keep my house in great working condition. This is a big challenge, but the jig and all the added items make it easy for me to complete my kitchen cabinet re-do!
