Battery Saver Board Replacement for IKEA Duktig Mini-Kitchen Stove (4-Battery Version)

Wow, what a great and affordable idea this was to get my grandchild’s toy kitchen burners working again. My existing circuit board was rusty and had broken soldered points that were impossible to repair. I followed the clear online instructions and was able to install the new circuit board in 15 minutes. And the burners both light up bright and flawlessly. Plus, the fast shipping was an unexpected bonus. I am forever grateful to Jeremy.

Bought this to replace the circuit board in our 2019 Duktig kitchen. I had to cut two little plastic nubs off from inside the compartment to make it sit low enough (the original board had little holes to slid over the nubs), but the entire process was easy and only took a few minutes. Everything works perfectly again and my kids are thrilled.

We were given the IKEA Duktig kitchen from some friends whose kids had outgrown it. I discovered the buttons worked, but you had to push them down hard (for an adult) to get them to light up. I searched to buy a complete replacement stove, but came across this circuit board replacement instead. I figured it’s $30, why not try it. “It’d be cheaper than buying the whole replacement stove, if I can even find one.” I ordered this and some wire strippers, then two days later I removed the old circuit board and installed the new one. The instructions were great and easy to follow. After putting together so many toys for my daughter, I’ve come to really appreciate well written instructions because there are so many poorly written ones out there! Our daughter loves the kitchen, but she likes it even more now that she can work the stove too. It’s a really great improvement to the original with the automatic timer that turns them off after inactivity (why that wasn’t a feature with the original is beyond me, but hey) and it doesn’t drain the batteries! The note included with the board tells me this is the makers passion and that he genuinely wants to bring happiness to kids and families with this solution. Thank you for continuing to make these boards and ensuring kids have fun with this play kitchen!

The replacement circuit worked great. My kids are over the moon with their working stove…all thanks to Ben’s request and Jeremy’s design! The linked instructions are a dream. Buy it. Your kid will thank you and think you’re a hero with electrical aptitude.

I love that Jeremy has made this project and continues to share it with us all. Our circuit board was corroded and replacing it was a fun project with my 5 year old. We got to talk about power and the transfer of electricity. It was easy enough that she didn’t get bored. My set up was ever so slightly different with only one screw on the circuit board rather than three. Somehow that meant that when I popped the top back on things didn’t align perfectly. That took a lot of finessing and I ultimately left one tab of the top panel I clicked and left the screw off entirely. It works great and I’m glad to have my kids favorite feature renewed.

Product was great, just what is needed and my kids love that the stove light works again! Instructions were super clear. And I’m loving that the circuitry improvements mean that the batteries will last a long time! Worth the $

Our 2016 IKEA play kitchen burners stopped working a few years ago, first one and then the other. Not surprising after 3 kids. It’s our 4-year old’s favorite toy, so I was looking into buying a replacement stove top unit when I came across this circuit. I’m not handy at all, but with the clear step-by-step instructions I had the circuit board swapped out and working perfectly in 5 mins. Thank you!
