Interesting cookbook, fast service by seller.

My Dad really enjoyed it. I got it for him for Christmas, because he’s a big history/Hemingway/cocktails/cooking fan. It gave him Hemingway writings that he hadn’t seen before, cocktails, history, and recipes that he felt he could actually cook.He loved it!I would like to say that these recipes were almost exclusively things I would not cook (millennial here). There were a few, but not many, that really adhered to the Food Pyramid. Definitely an “entertaining” food book for the modern man.

In addition to recipes, this book is filled with wonderful photographs, excerpts from many of Hemingway's stories, novels, and magazine articles, as well as literary anecdotes and commentary from the writers who have chronicled his life and work. I am a huge fan of Hemingway's writing, have visited many of his haunts--Idaho, Montana, Key West, Cuba--and Mary (who appears often in this book), his last wife, is from my home town of Bemidji, Minnesota. I admit to being an avid--some say rabid--Hemingway fan. I ordered the book with no expectations other than to have another Hemingway collectable. I was pleasantly thrilled to find anecdotes, history of Hem, as well as really good and fun recipes. I have an annual Hemingway party on July 21 and cooked the trout for 20 last year. It was wonderful! Highly recommend for both the food and the text. Really really great!

Let's be honest, a diet of Hemingway's works and biographies can be a little heavy. This book is a delight : the author is obviously a real Hemingway buff . It's well-written, nicely produced and contains many excerpts which will have you re-visiting your favourite Hemingway books. The food ( and drink ) sound wonderful and I look forward to trying the recipes.Full marks to Amazon for making this specialist book easily available in the UK !
