I gave this one star rating because of how off the description is. Mine came in great condition unlike some who received it broken. It’s pretty flexible and the spikes on the back are actually just nubs. They’re not pokey/scratchy at all. The smell on mine really isn’t that strong and I’m very sensitive the chemical smells. I’ll see how my guest room smells in the morning. The description says 26x6. It doesn’t say whether it’s inches or feet, which is really stupid. Mine is 27” wide so that’s pretty close to the 26 number. And it’s 68” long which is 5.66’. ANY product should be measured and labeled and cut accordingly. It is NOT 6’ long. To give people the best description, they should make sure each mat is made the exact same length and width and they should specify whether the number is in inches or feet. You’re better off going to a hardware store or big box store so you can see exactly what you’re working with. For $14, I’ll find a use for it.

I had used one similar to this to protect the carpet in the doorways of my house from my cats and thought that it would work again in my new apartment. Well this was apparently not the same brand as the last one because the little prong things on the bottom that are supposed to keep it from sliding around are not long enough. I ended up having to duck tape it in place. It still protects my carpet, but I can't give it a perfect review just because of the fact that it doesn't stay put. It was pretty cheap though, so you get what you pay for.

Although this runner does what its suppose to do, I should have spent a couple extra dollars and got one that had a bit wore weight and thickness in the vinyl. The only thing I don't like about this is that it doesn't lay flat and after using it for almost two months I thought it would relax but the ends are still curved up. I have used books, weights and even placing the runner under my carpet protector under my office chair to flatten it out to no avail , This will be used to protect the carpet in the truck of my car so its all good. If you are a OCD nerd like me, spend the extra cash.

These mats are really good. Even though some other customer complain about a smell its true but all plastic mats smell funny at first but in time it goes away or you can either wipe them down with some Lysol disinfectant let it dry and then wipe down with fabuloso cleaner/deodorize (purple power). The mats are a little puffy but they flatten shortly. Worth the money for mats.

I got this to cover the nails going from the hallway to the bathroom where the cats scratched up the carpets. I don’t want my son stepping on them. It’s definitely done it’s job. Also cuts well and keeps the cats from scratching. Only thing is after time, I’ve started noticing the nails again. Oh, and it smells SUPER weird when you open it.
