Good product for the money
They work as they should...

Ingenious idea, NOT impact worthy
I'll start by saying this product is a great idea. As seen in the picture on the right, it's just a threaded rod with two cone shaped "drivers" with a space for a nut to sit in one of them. As you turn the rod it pulls the drivers together, pushing the expansion tool outwards. The only drawback I see with this design is once fully expanded the expansion "fingers" don't form a perfect circle but more of an octagonal shape. You have to rotate tool during expansion process to evenly stretch the pipe. This product arrived with one of the largest size bands broken on largest expansion tool. This should have been a clear indication of the quality of this product. Luckily they come with a set of spares for each size tool and being optimistic I decided to try it anyway... plus I still needed my damn pipe stretched. I used this product on an 08 dodge caravan exhaust. The replacement resonator I bought was supposed to be flared to accept the muffler but instead was the same size. You know how cheap aftermarket parts are. Using a half inch impact and the appropriate size socket I started out with the second largest tool as the largest one wouldn't quite fit in the fully retracted position. Once the tool got tight inside the pipe a gave it a pretty big blast from the impact. Within seconds the driver with the nut indentation disintegrated. It was also challenging afterward getting the broken tool to retract so I could get it out of the exhaust. Luckily i had managed to stretch the pipe in question enough to get the largest expansion tool to partially into the pipe. This time i took my time and slowly expanded and retracted the the tool multiple times and in different positions. My last attempt to stretch the pipe actually broke one of the fingers in half. Also the threads on both the rod and nut are partially stripped after one use, as seen in the middle picture. Overall this product is a great idea but ime not sure it saved me any money compared to having an exhaust shop just expand the pipe for me.

It’s a repair tool, not a step up. And it works great.
I see the negative reviews for people trying to step up pipes. I raise you a 5 star review, cause you’re silly. If you think a $30 china tool is going to step up a pipe, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. It won’t do that, I promise. What it absolutely excels though is repairing dented in tubing like my aluminum intercooler inlet. I’ve seen similar videos of people using this tool to repair mild steel with the same damage I experienced. I would advise the distributor to change their marketing to a tube repair tool, not a tool to upsize pipe. It’s a great tool for a different purpose. Not for upsizing. 5 stars from me because this intercooler cost $1,000 and just $30 to repair.

Absolutely Useless
This was an absolute failure. It did not even complete a single expansion of 2" pipe before the threading was completely stripped and unusable. I used the handheld ratchets like they recommended, and did it manually. A standard 1/2" ratchet should never allow me destroy the threads on a tool like this. It also bent the expansion bars in the middle. As it expanded, the bars bowed inwards in the middle, meaning it formed a larger ring at the beginning and end of the expansion area, with a tapered middle. Think of an hourglass figure.

Decently built tool
Works great and fits a variety of sizes. Appears to be decently well built. Great for intermediate users.

Buy something better its worth it
As others have stated it's poor quality. The metal is either not hardend or very poor casting or both. They will crack pic is after 3 times of tighten by hand there turns loosen reposition repeat.. no visual expansion before hearing the crack. 2 stars cause I returned the first one that broke thinking it was a fluke and replament was sent out right away. Unfortunately that also broke as seen .

Got the job done, but two of the fingers broke on the medium expander.
Got some severe dents in my tail pipe on my Jeep JLUR 3.6 V6 after off-roading. My 3” tail pipe was crushed to the point where I was barely able to initially fit the medium expander in the pipe. Through trial and error, I was able to expand the pipe enough with the medium expander to fit the large expander to finish the job. This was my first time using the tool, and although I broke two of the fingers on the medium tool, I learned that’s going slow, and backing out rotating the tool alternating the fingers to mold the pipe back to position allowed me to successfully complete the project. Used a hand wrench, and in retrospect I would have heat treated the pipe to soften it up. This tool would be a home run if I can get replacement fingers, otherwise I give this tool 4 stars. If I can get replacement fingers I will update this review to 5 stars.
