Dixon Valve & Coupling BAS974 Brass Fitting, Swivel Adapter, 3/4" GHT Female x 1/2" NPTF Female

I needed this for a mister filter that are common garden hose fittings on the filter that use the GHT threads on both ends a male and female.I was having no luck finding a fitting for the male side of the filter that was not made of plastic! None of my home centers carried this in brass.The plastic fitting would thread on, but by the time you got it tight it would tilt off to one side and NOT make a good connection! I tried with and w/o gasket/s, with tape, no tape. Had another plastic union and it did the same thing.Fed up I got on line and found this one on amazon. This fitting is all brass (no slop where it swivels) and it threaded on with less force and no leaks the first time around!My misting setup is made of 1/2 inch Scheduled 40 PVC, the water source is a 3/4 inch SCH40 PVC w/valve.I have a fixed (no swivel) NPT 3/4 pipe thread to GHT union made of brass from the water source attached to the filter inlet, but on the other side I needed or I wanted a brass GHT female garden hose to NPT 1/2 pipe thread. Now that I have this union, it is leak free and allows me to change the filter as needed.This is a well machine fitting and I would recommend this fitting and brand. It fixed my problem!

I've now bought two of these couplings, the most recent to replace a cheap plastic piece of junk from Lowes. The one from Lowes (forget the brand) leaked despite having gaskets. I tried everything from a snug tightening to almost destroying the thing by over tightening it and everything in between, including premium pipe thread sealant, but still it leaked. Then I remembered this Dixon part when looking at my DIY sprinkler base so I got another one and have had, once again, zero leaks with the Dixon. I'm glad they stamp their name on the product as that made it easy to come back for more here!

Used this on my sun joe electric pressure washer hose connection. Works just as planned. Very easy to thread the hose into this coupling and tighten up for a great seal. Would buy this high quality product. A++

Fits the hose inlet side of my Sun Joe SPX3000 perfectly. The original plastic hose adapter that came with the SJ is very poorly constructed and leaks everywhere, as many others has reported. This is the best fix. Used it with Teflon tape and a Male and Female 3/4 Inch GHT Brass Quick Connector Garden Hose Fitting Water Hose Connector (link below), and it works flawlessly. What I ordered was 3/4” GHT female x 1/2” NPT female swivel, what I received was 3/4” GHT female x 3/4” GHT MALE. The sticker label on the part bag was correct but the part was wrong. I suspect the part was mislabeled, an unfortunate mistake. As it is the part looks to be of high quality but I can’t use it and I am in the process of returning it and hopefully getting the right part. See photo of part and label. I’ll update this review when the new part arrives, and fingers crossed it’s the right one!

My original review of this was one star with the title below. But, as I read all of the other reviews, after posting my own, I didn't find one reviewer with the leaking problem so I went back out and removed the teflon tape on the male counterpart. Now it doesn't leak a drop. Pro Tip: Do Not use teflon tape on the male part of the hose being inserted to this female hose connect as the male part must be attached the full depth in order to tighten this swivel and prevent the leak.

I used this along with a brass garden hose quick connect to replace the cheap plastic garden hose quick connect fitting on my AR Blue pressure washer . It now has a stronger connection.

Just a simple brass adapter for "thru the wall" garden hose (anti-siphon) spigot (with 1/2 inch thread) when the other end is also a hose. The 3/4 inch hose end, swivels to allow screwing the hose in - this is not a solid adapter. They also include a hose washer.
