The kit as it is simply doesn't work. The issue is that the "lids"/endcaps made of flimsy cardboard which you are supposed to stick on using cheap glue. There is absolutely no way the glued lid will hold the weight when the beads come crashing down to one side. I wouldn't even trust this to work with the given supplies if I used hot glue to secure the ends. The redeeming factor is that you can actually jam an empty gallon milk jug lid down into the tube to block it completely. It fits perfectly! This, along with the remaining kit contents, makes for a fantastic rainstick. I used these for a scout project, and they were simple for the boys to make and sounded great.

Used this for my Girl Scout Troop. This kit is great with only one fault. The glue does not work well so I used cloth to cover the ends of the tubes and it worked much better. Otherwise this kit worked very well. Tubes are nice and sturdy and are easy to decorate. The feathers and beads give these a great finishing touch. Instructions were very easy to follow. No issues. I do recommend this kit.

Great kit at a great price! Everything we needed to make rain sticks. We chose NOT to use the “tribal” decorations as we felt this was culturally insensitive. Kids decorated the rain stick tube before assembling.

These come out really cute and look very nice - but pretty complicated. I did lots of prep work to get this down to a craft that could be done in one session. Use double stick tape instead of glue.

These are great but do take some time putting together. I bought 2 boxes was shorted one in each box. So make sure to count your.

This is perfect for older kids. 5 and under will have a hard time putting this togetherInstructions are not very good, we used paper bags to cover the sides. The little circles it was provided where not going to hold the ends in.

Summer camp kids love this project!
