Everything works great
I wasn’t sure what to expect considering the mixed reviews, but I was really impressed. Everything worked great including the solar panel pieces. My children play with two that are battery operated, and while I do stress the importance of being careful with them, the car and plane have held up remarkably well. The instructions were very clear and we followed them carefully in assembly and we love the result. I would describe all of them as delicate, but I felt like they were a great educational tool and my children love them.

Powerful
I bought a few of these kits for school. They are very easy to build with exception of how tiny the screws are and getting them started. It will quickly frustrate impatient kids. The included screw drivers are a little magnetic, but not strong enough to adequately hold the screws. Also, the battery packs are interchangeable with the solar cells so you can easily switch them out for indoor/outdoor use. Just be careful with the “airplane”. The propeller is a little sharp and spins at a high rpm. The other propellers used on the wind mill and fan car don’t have this problem. The important thing for me was everything in the box worked and the directions, while not in depth were able to be followed.

Solar cells are too weak
Cells can't power a motor

Solar robotics
The kit received was complete with 5 different projects. The little solar panels work great in propelling the little car you build, it was kids favorite one. Great STEM projects.

Great for my grandchild
This review is for the 4 in 1 Solar Power & Electric Motor STEM Kits.I want to help my grandchild learn about solar. This kit contains 2 solar projects and 2 projects requiring 2 AA batteries (not included). It's a bit smaller than I expected, but everything works and all the parts and pieces fit. So - all is well!Am I a satisfied buyer? Yes. Would I recommend this kit to a friend? Yes.

Very educational, and fun activity for Grandpa.
The screwdriver is sub-par, but I won't knock a star for that. Definitely helpful if the adult has some electronic experience, but the motors, wires, connectors, solar panels, battery holders, all that stuff works. The components are also robust enough that it will at least function when you finish building it. Instructions are just pictures, but not hard to follow.

"Solar Power..." is false advertising
Purchased for my son to build and present in class for his school science project. I helped him build the 4 items and found that the solar cells dont work. We plugged the motor into the battery back used by the engine and the fan powered car and the motor's all work. I took the solar cells outside in Arizona and still does not provide enough power (if its providing any) to the motor to spin. i was expecting it to spin slowly at least so he can showcase "Solar Energy" but it does not. Cant return since i threw out the original packaging. I would not recommend this.
