After I developed some mobility issues I began having difficulty getting in and out of my high bed. I began to be afraid I might fall, and realized I needed something at my bedside that I could step onto. This platform stool does the trick. It's exactly the size I need, both in height and platform size. I wanted something large enough that I am not worried about missing it if I have to get up in the night (plenty of room for both of my feet), and it is just tall enough that I don't have to step up high (I was having pain lifting my legs). It is quite sturdy and does not move unless I want it to. I feel very secure on it. Other people have commented that the raised bumps on the platform (which are there for traction) are painful to stand on, however, for the brief seconds I am on it, they do not bother me. I am VERY PLEASED. My one criticism is that it looks very utilitarian. It would be nice if there were color options. That said, it is a wonderful platform stool and I am glad I bought it.

Sturdy

Deep, wide and sturdy enough for a heavyweight senior like me to step on and not have it tip because it's too light. Bought a smaller, lighter wooden step that nearly sent me sprawling but this one has proven dependable. Bravo for price and dependability!

The step is a little spongy when you step on it, but it holds the weight. It's deeper than an actual step, but great for the porch. It has helped enormously!

The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for a foot stool to support my 5ft handicapped mom. We have two and love them. I’ve tried several and this is the perfect height so she can reach her feet onto the stool from these taller toilets. I love the grip on top to prevent slipping and the 6 bottom grip supports as well. I feel good knowing it’s secure for her to sit comfortably.

It's not used for stepping, but I used it for the height, length and width of it measurements, what I actually did look was look for this particular size to place a TV stand that measured out to 4' 8" which was not the height that I needed! the platform and it's measurements are width are19.5" and the extra 3.75 inches in height that I needed as well the length that is 15 .75" is just what wanted and now when I Lie in bed I can see over the foot board at the bottom of the bed think you I'm very pleased15.75" L x 19.5" W x 3.75" H,

Step cracked better support needed.

Purchased this to aid in getting in and out of bed after back surgery, but left it in place because my wife is only 5 ft tall, and this extra couple of inches helps. Also came in handy to move outside our front door to assist a visiting relative on crutches - just those extra couple of inches to step onto our porch. No problem handling a person over 200 pounds.

I liked the size . I didn't like the knobby surface. It was hard on bare feet. Very sturdy.

This is perfect for dividing a 6 inch step for my elderly mother when visiting or getting into SUV. Only problem I have is the grey top mat section keeps coming out as when you slide to one side the tabs can come out of base hole sockets.
