Q: I bought it for my godox tt600, but it is too large to fit. Should I return it? Or can you please provide some solution.

Best solution would be to return it and get a one that fits. It would be a hassle in a long run of the fit is not correct.

Q: Can I use this instead of shoot through umbrella? Say bright sun, off-camera, f/11 - formal family photo?

Yes you can but keep in mind the light will not be the same as now instead of directed soft light with the umbrella, you will have a lot of light being wasted.
