Marine Aquarium Deluxe 3.0 Screensaver, Version 3

I love aquariums but don't want to be responsible for any pets at this point in my life. This software is so realistic it's amazing. I have two Macs, one MacMini in my home entertainment system, and a MacPro. The MacMini is connected to my TV through a Yamaha audio/video surround sound amplifier. This looks great on my TV - I'm sitting in my living room listening to sounds of the ocean through iTunes while watching the beautiful fish swim around. While it really looks great on the TV, it is unbelievable on my MacPro with it's very large high definition screen. On that display you can really see the intricate interplay of refracted light as it plays across the coral, fish, and gravel, giving the whole display a hyper-realistic effect. I love this program.

I got the software which consisted of a disk which loaded a launch program. No key code was furnished with this software so in order to get it activated you have to get a key code. As far as I can tell from the web site there is no way to get a key code. if you go to the original serene aquarium web site there is not even a mention of a deluxe 3.0 issue of this software, however, there is a 2.6 version and a 3.2 version. you can do a test of the software using testfish in place of the key code, however, without an actual key code you will never run the software as a screensaver. There is a claim on the box to run with windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. Without a key code this software will not run as advertised.

Looks like a great program. Hard to download it without a product key. Which it did not come with. Dont buy it! Your wasting your time.

This screensaver goes way beyond what I expected! It is better than a real aquarium! The movements of the fish are incredibly realistic and some of the background corals are animated as well. The bubble sounds and the ripple pattern of light complete the illusion of "real". I have this on both my HP Pavilion Laptop running Windows 7 and my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard. The software loaded easily and works great on both computers. Both versions allow you to choose which fish and how many of each (up to 30), and to make multiple sets of fish. Only the PC version allows you to cycle the fish sets so that each time your screensaver activates, you can have a different "aquarium" to view. The PC version also lets you change the lighting effects; however, the Mac version does not have this special feature. I feel like I have two aquariums in my office! You will not be disappointed with this screensaver!

I downloaded a free version of a previous version of this many years ago and went to do it again recently and my malwarebytes program flagged it as having a virus luckily before installing so I figured might as well splurge and buy one. I looked at a bunch and read their reviews and this one seemed the best. Glad I got it. Way more fish than the old one I used to have and has a nice clock feature so you don't have to terminate screensaver to check time. I added a monitor and it automatically spread itself out over the two screens... very cool seeing fish swim from one screen to another. I added a third screen and it spread out across all three now very cool. Only problem was that when attempting to adjust settings it asks for product key and one was not supplied in box. Box was brand new unopened original package and had no serial number or product key. I tried using their website and was actually able to chat with agent who told me it should be in the box and ultimately referred me to send email to them which was never replied. I tried calling and spent a long time going in circles through automated options that just referred me back to website. In frustration I googled product key serene screen marine aquarium 3 and found someone had posted it. It totally worked! Thanks for nothing customer service!! Found it myself online! So all in all great program. Be prepared to possibly have to find product key online yourself. Getting a product key like that feels kinda bootlegged but at least I actually legitimately bought the software. If it would have had product key in box and I didn't waste a bunch of time with the company's poor customer service unsuccessfully, only to end up "stealing" one online, I would have given it 5 stars.

This is the second version I've had and I've loved them both. It's so easy to choose which fish you want swimming on your screen and it's mesmerizing to watch. Bright colors and lifelike movements make this a very special piece of software.

Beautiful and calming but wont' run on latest Macs (2017).

I have been using this screen saver in my classroom as I take the register. The kids love it. It has the facility to add as many of as few fish to the tank as you would like and there are around 29 fish to choose from. The quality of the graphics is excellent. It comes with one piece of music which plays while the screen saver is running. This can be turned off if you prefer or you can add other pieces of music from your own collection. As a screen saver it works very well.

I used to LOVE this Aquarium type screensaver. Years ago. Indeed I was really pleased to get this because I love the aquarium look on my pc.... however... this software really gives very little more than the original did many years ago. The fish all look similar and the interface all looks a bit DOS-based rather than 21st century Vista or Windows 7. The ONE music track available - a classical guitar number - gets really monotonous after about 6 minutes and although the interface implies you can import tracks (which I did) none of them actually play while the aquarium is running! A real disappointment is that there are no seahorses - my wife was MOST upset by this! And it would be really good to be able to import other fish (maybe a shark or two to spice things up!). All very disappointing really and not expandable at all. A miss.

This is lovely to watch with all the different fish. It is so realistic. There's no cleaning out the tank, no feeding and no having to buy more fish and definitely no fish diseases. It's great and fun to watch. Keeps my grandson entertained anyway.

Absolutely, outstandingly brilliant. Colour, choice of fish, natural movement, imagination & anything else on the DVD is head & shoulders above anything else on the market.
