I want to use it to strengthen my hands ,is that enough? Or do I need something else?

Very good and adjustable from zero to 60kg ! I use them every evening while watching tv . I am now 53 so I’m hoping that using them regularly will reduce the affects of arthritis which runs in my family! The old saying use it or lose it !!!!

Do the springs squeak in use?

No they didn't but the counters didn't count properly so returned them
