Crete Map [Greece] (National Geographic Adventure Map, 3317)

I really liked this map. We had several maps with us, but I chose to use this one. It was up to date as of June 2017. We used it to travel all over the island. As you know, it's not always convenient to use GPS when signals are weak and the island doesn't have the most stable signal. Plus it was an extra $200 just to add a GPS to the rental car, so I'm really glad that we came prepared.I found that the locals were able to read the map well. This was helpful at points since we decided to do several driving tours and came upon a wrecked, washed out road. Other than that, the roads were pretty reasonable to drive. The signs are all covered with graffiti so having a good map is very helpful.I'm not affiliated with this company or products. I wasn't paid or received anything in compensation for this review.

Wished it was all on one side so could put on wall. Other than that great. But I understand can get higher level of detail if split.

Have my fight to Athens and now planning to spend several weeks in Crete. I needed a good road map to plan where to stay and visit.

I wanted an up to date map with village level detail. This NGS map is large and easy to read but it is not cumbersome because the folding system makes it easy to use. Moreover the paper is strong and easily survived a week of hard use. Moreover it seemed to be up to date (I used it in October 2018) and I found each of the small villages we visited. It clearly identifies historical sites as well.

This driving map of Crete is very useful and informative, it helped a lot when navigating the island, and is made from a nice thicker material that is easy to handle.

This map leaves a bit to be desired. The map has eastern side of the island on one side and the western side on the other. My intention was to hang this up in our house and pin all the places we visit while we're here. This is no longer an option due to the dual sided map. The material is good and appears to be waterproof.

Excellent map. Each side of map divided into either East or West side of island. Map's large scale reveals all the small villiges, tourist sites, and anything else you might wish to find.

Well done map. Easy to read and seems very accurate.

We used this map to navigate to the village we were staying in. We failed to find it without local help because the map showed it on the completely wrong road several miles away. The map was OK navigating on the main roads but this experience led us not to trust it once we were off the beaten track.

A bit out of date, the Potami dam built in 2008 is not shown.Scale too small for walking,not enough detail.The free map in the hire car was almost as useful.

Great map, clear, accurate and strong.

Very detailed, just a few very remote places missing their place names, but we were able to use it to navigate across the dirt tracks across the mountains.

An OK map with plenty of detail bought for forthcoming trip to Crete. Slightly flimsy paper; only time will tell if it lasts!
