Our go to for small scrapes and scratches...
Mayo and other medical institutions say you should use iodine for small scrapes and scratches instead of alcohol. So that's what I do. Don't think there's anything that would remove it if you spilled it though. A+++++

Happy that there is no PEG (polyethelene glycol) in Major's formula
I have kept povidone iodine on hand for many years as a first aid staple. It is an effective wound cleanser, good for cleaning scrapes, cuts, and prep if having surgery. The current supply available now has either one or more versions of PEG, to which I am allergic, or tween 80 which is actually polysorbate 80. The safety data sheet info for tween 80 says: "Potential Adverse human health effects and symptoms : Non-toxic if swallowed (LD50 oral, rat > 5000 mg/kg). Slightly irritant to skin. Slightly harmful by inhalation. Slightly irritant to eyes." It made me wonder why this tween 80 is considered a necessary ingredient considering the intended application of this product since it can cause irritation. Polysorbate 80 is a nonionic surfactant, so supposedly less harsh. Haven't found povidone iodine formula without it for my very sensitive skin, but will keep searching.

Good product
I have horrible reactions to mosquito bites and this has helped me so much. After washing with Ivory bar soap, partially dry and slather this on and let it sit for a few minutes before I rince it off.It helps heal the bites and I also believe that the mosquitoes do not care for the residual scent. So much less misery for me and saves me so much time and money trying to save my bedding and clothes.

Works fine, I use it to treat farm animal wounds. Do know though that this stuff hurts like you wouldnt believe when you use it on a wound.
