Good for media and basic gaming, hard to upgrade beyond surface level.
IN-DETAIL REVIEW:Owner notes:On first arrival, I had to clear out some adhesive in the display port, minor windows user issues which were resolved swiftly.Opening the PC chassis is a STRUGGLE, you need to go full force pulling the latch after pulling an unlock swich to get the side panel off. Very annoying, keep in mind if you want to make upgrades. It came with a wifi adapter, no bluetooth.Closing the chasis was also annoying, still to this day I cant get it to fully seal.W's:Chassis is clean, looks nice, usb-c pors, nvme ports, plentiful pcie expansion. The 2.5 inch ssd allows for the system to be reletivley fast when opening and interacting with media applications and chrome.Easy surface level upgrading, more pros disscused below.FULL SPECLIST (the listing only covers half of the specs of the pc):- i5-6500 cpu, iGPU combo- 1 8gb samsung module of ddr4-2133 ram (allows for a 1 stick upgrade to dual channel, any 8gig stick of speed over 2133 would work)- 250w 80+ platinum psu- THIS ISN'T A TOWER FORM FACTOR, its a small form factor thats slightly wider than usual, double check the dimensions of the listing. This will not support a full sized gpu nor will it support a standard atx psu.- Seller lied, there are available m.2 slots on the ends of the mobo (pleasant surprise)- Mobo has 2 small pcie lanes (x4 i presume) and 2 large pcie lanes (x16) for accessible expansion, more ports, more nvme storage, low profile gpu upgrade etc.PSU OUTS AND PIN SITUATION:The psu has 3 outs total.- CPU power out (4 regular sized pin)- MOBO power out part 1 (4 regular sized pin, same as cpu pwr)- MOBO power out part 2 (7 mini sized pin)Very proprietary and is pretty impossible to find 24pin to 4+mini 7 pin adapter (if you want to upgrade psu)Overall very proprietary and hard to make upgrades to. The best you could do includes:- Ram upgrade (simple and easy)- Storage upgrade (accessible and easy, 2 extra sata power connectors + m.2 slot)- Low profile or small low power regular GPU upgrade. If your looking to do an oem pc to gaming pc upgrade, id recommend you look elsewhere as this oem cant facilitate proper gpu, case and psu upgrades without an infinite amount of hassle. Plus the i5-6500 is surprisingly 25% worse than the i7-4790k despite there being a 2 generation difference, so if you could find an optiplex with an i7 4th gen cpu, case swaps would be possible, etc.CONCLUSION or TL;DR:Gaming pc upgrade, no. Go with an old XEON workstation on an easy to upgrade platform OR a TOWER OPTIPLEX with atleast a 4th gen i7.Office or media pc, great choice.Have a splendid day.
