Platinum Perfect Blond Ammonia Free Toner

Been using Redken Shades EQ Platinum Ice, this is SOOOO much more the silvery platinum I wanted! Very easy to mix with the BLOND Developer, I used on dry hair, 1:1, applied to roots then remainder of head, waited 20 min., rinsed and conditioned - no shampoo for two days. It was a bit steely blue/silver until shampooed, now looks faboo - very light (I have previously bleached hair with about 1" dark blonde grow out). I have a sort of light apricot in zone 1 root area with this toner, and I got a gorgeous individual shade going on now: a golden/ash platinum that just beams. Everyone seems to love the way my hair reflects light! I'd recommend using a pre-conditioner before any color service, I use Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3. a couple of days before, don't wash 24H before coloring. This product does NOT lighten hair, and does state this, it is a toner only. As stated by manufacturer, toners generally last through 5-6 shampoos, wear off naturally without harsh regrowth, as opposed to permanent hair color, and can be re-applied without damaging hair every couple of weeks or so. My hair feels soft, looks natural with a twist, just the way I like it! Will repurchase happily! P.S. - have saved hundreds $$$ by toning my hair myself instead of going in to the salon for color every 6-8 weeks.

If you truly understand that platinum is so white, it's almost silver. Then you know a true platinum toner will leave a purple silver tone for first couple days after use. So people complain that they had old gray hair... I DISAGREE. Best true platinum toner you can get. If you want light blonde and NOT PLATINUM try T18 or for ash blonde T15.I have dark brown hair and only left it in for 15 minutes with 20 Volume toner from same brand. Don't buy the cheap volumizer. This toner will pull a full degree lift after your bleach. So remember this and if you are worried put in for 5-10minutes - rinse - check - repeat if necessary. 1 to 1 volume ratio.Again, Platinum blonde only (aka white hair) users only and it is fantastic.

It truly makes your hair a tru platinum. It really is my favorite hair toner. Just make sure to lighten your hair to a yellow blond with bleach

If you already have pretty lifted platinum hair and your going for that white silver look I highly highly recommend this product. I use it with the 5 vol developer in the same brand. Its ammonia free so its not as damaging as Wella T18. This is my go to product.

I've really been through a hard time trying to get my yellow bleached hair to a semi platinum color, aiming for more white than gray/silver. Nothing else has worked, this platinum toner I used with generic volume 10 developer and did my lower half of hair first, and while watching it carefully as it started turning too dark of gray in I'd say around 5 minutes (my hair is porous & some patches worse than others, so grabs fast) I frantically washed it off and almost cried because it gave me the all to familiar ashy drab color I've been fighting as much as yellow.....so did yet ANother bleach wash (shampoo + 20 volume + bleach powder) and got the gray out while miraculously it effectively still removed the yellow. So..... for the top half of my hair I knew it was a race for time so I slathered the toner on super fast and because my hair is long, by the time I got the toner on - maybe a couple of minutes - I rinsed it off and wah-lah, almost just right. It is potent, can leave a blue tint or go too ashy....so it's touchy....but still better than the Wella ones in my experience. The idea was a toner that would neutralize blonde tones. since I bleached it super light i went with the lightest color they had. I now have light grey hair. It works for what i want it to be for, but is not white. Buy with caution.
