Modern Audiophile Headphones
I’ve had these M-200ANC’s for a few days, and I am LOVING them. LOV.ING.THEM. I wanted to update my headphones, on paper these had all the options I was looking for- hi-res audio when wired, Bluetooth for tooling around, and noise canceling. The packaging is really nice, definitely get a premium feeling when you open the box. Comes with a clamshell carrying case, charging cable, carabiner for the case and an audio cable. These headphones have over-performed in every situation I’ve used them for:Music- listening to .wav files from my computer, without adjusting the EQ in the app, the freq response is very flat, allows you to hear the music the way it was intended. I did use the app to bump a few freq for my personal preference, but love that I can use these as a reference headphone if I need to. With .wav files, sounded almost exactly the same over Bluetooth. The Noise Canceling didn’t affect the music as far as I could tell, just sucked you in as Noise Canceling will. Also plugged directly into my synth, sounded awesome. The modeled pianos sounded rich and deep on the low end, and tinkly on the high end. Heavy synth patches were full and all frequencies were represented.Gaming- using with Xbox Series X and the Boom Pro mic, they sound ridiculous! Could hear every detail in both Halo and AC Valhalla. Very comfortable for long gaming sessions too. The ear cups fit my ears perfectly and the memory foam and head band are very comfortable.WFH- used them the last 2 days on all my video calls. Was able to easily connect them via Bluetooth to my MacBook, and use them wirelessly for both voice and audio in Zoom, wasn’t able to figure out how to set MS Teams up to use them as a source, but that’s a Teams thing. The built in mic is great if you’re just participating, if I’m presenting I’d probably plug in the Boom Pro.Noise Canceling- I only have some aviation headphones from a well-known manufacturer, there was no difference using just the active noise canceling. Both worked equally as well at noise canceling. You can also set how much noise canceling you want via the app, a really useful feature! One really cool feature (that has already come in handy a few times) is you can touch the bottom of the left ear cup and it will turn off the ANC so you can hear someone talking to you.Overall, I am extremely pleased with these headphones. Now all I need to do is figure out how I want to customize them aesthetically!Pros-Audiophile sound qualityComfortable and durableCustomizable- both the sound profile via the Tuning app (I used iOS) for EQ and Noise Canceling levels, and aesthetically to make them your ownGreat for a variety of uses- music, production, WFH, travelCarrying caseImmortal Life WarrantyMake great ear muffs for those faux spring blizzardsCons-No included ¼” adapterSometimes it sounds like your voice is distorting when you use both the Boom Pro and the built in mic. I’ve been told that my voice is not distorting on the receiving end

sound amazing and the built quality solid
These do sound amazing and the built quality solid. You will need to break in the headband if it feels tight, when using it for the first time. I would let it seat on 3 stack books place vertical for 1 day to break in the headband.

Terrible. Muddy audio, awkwardly stiff buttons, super shallow ear cups
Not sure if I got a bad pair or if this is just how it sounds (this is the first V-Moda I've ever tried), but this doesn't even compete with a $150 pair of wired headphones. Absolutely not worth the price.Pros:- Feels durable, and I do love how compact they fold up into their case. That's pretty impressive, and far better than most.- Very stable on my head, among the best I've tried. Weight and grip is nicely spread around, rather than just at one or two points.- Trivially-replaced earpads. I love these magnetic setups, no more messing with and possibly breaking clips. They're totally stable too, no shifting and no fear of them falling out. Very nice.Cons:- I vastly prefer buttons over touch (touch can be nice, but it has issues in so many situations), but not when they're like this. All three of the top buttons are so stiff that they're awkward to use. You absolutely have to brace the bottom of the headphones with your thumb... but there's not an easy way to do that due to the angled sides, and the buttons are half covered by the hinge. And then my volume-down is even stiffer and barely clicks so it's hard to tell when it actually worked or not. Not *quite* the worst headset buttons I've tried, but trying hard to dig down to that level.- Ear cups are *shockingly* shallow. By far the shallowest headphones I've tried. My ears are roughly normal, maybe a bit large (I barely touch the back on some headphones, not at all on others), and I'm absolutely bottoming out in these. The circumference is plenty large, and the pads are comfortable and *trivial* to replace (yay!), but if your ears aren't *completely* flat against your head, you'll get squashed. I gather v-moda has had this complaint on other sets, but I am truly stunned by how much shallower they are than any other pair I've tried.- Noise canceling is pretty much only low frequencies, and at higher levels has more white noise than any other (expensive) pair I've tried so far. It does remove low mechanical sounds pretty well though. It's roughly on par with other non-Bose/Sony pairs: somewhat effective, but definitely not as good, which is expected. These do have some unique weirdness though, e.g. when I touch or shift the headset around at all, one or both ears will get... murky? sound underwater? for about a second, and then it'll clear up. I'm not sure if this is a failed attempt at letting me hear my surroundings (it's definitely not reliable, if that's the goal), or if it's a recalibration phase of some kind. But since it's fairly quick it's mostly just weird, I don't think I'd actually be bothered by it.- Audio at normal volumes is muddy, vocals and instruments are mushed together, and only a mediocre sound-stage. Every other $300+ bluetooth headset I've tried has been significantly, *immediately obviously* better here. At mid-high volume, where these sound best, they still sound noticeably worse than my 15 year old $200 headphones. Master & Dynamic MW65 and Shure Aonic 50 were FAR better here, being roughly equal to my wired pair, or better in some areas.- Audio changes *dramatically* as volume changes. When turned up to comfortably-loud, bass boosts a lot (and stays punchy), muddiness improves, but holy cow the balance is thrown WAY off and they sound absolutely nothing like what they did at lower volumes. This is true for many headphones to some degree, but usually you have to go up to uncomfortably-loud for a "large" change. Here, there's a *dramatic* change just between two volume notches at normal volumes, it's like nothing I've ever heard before.I'm pretty surprised, tbh. For the price I expected something at least competitive with the 1000XM4 in audio terms, but it's not even close.

Excellent sound and build quality. Comfortable. Annoying bluetooth connection
Overall: I am happy with these headphones. They're quite a bit heavier than something like the Sony ANC headphones, which feel less durable. Flimsy feeling vs heavier, that is a personal choice. Sound wise are excellent imo, good balanced headphones, tight thumpy bass and the highs are not ice-picky. I'm not an audiophile but definitely picky and have returned expensive headphones before. There are annoyances with the bluetooth and ANC, but I feel like the sound and build quality make up for it. They also fold down quite well and come with a nice hard case. It's difficult to find headphones that are comfortable with glasses, and these fit well, maybe a bit tight at first.

V-MODA M200 ANC

All out PREMIUM
Just WOW. The sound quality is amazing! Roland got the sound signature perfect. The EQ in the app is great. It's perfect across the range. I love these. I don't usually leave feedback but on this occasion I had too. Build quality is great, the fit perfectly too. I'm having some shields made to personalise these cans. You won't regret buying them!
