Pro CompExplorer 314515 ES3000 Shock Absorber

These are pretty good shocks and seemed to bolt on with no problems but at this price, it would have been nice if they cam with shock boots. People should note, the price is for ONE shock, not a pair. That makes them some of the higher priced off road shocks on Amazon and they are not a "budget" item. Other reviews compare them favorably to Rancho shocks. All I know is they are far better than the stock grade shocks which had been on my SUV prior to putting these on. Off road handling is better, but the real difference has been with the road handling, and the vehicle being much much more stable at higher speeds on roads with these shocks installed compared to the OEM stock shocks that I had before.

These are not for the front of a 99 4x4 Ford Ranger or just about any 4x4 ranger I have seen. These may work for the 2WD though. These are too short. If you have a 4x4 ranger you can see that they have a little extension on the bottom of the shock that connects to the A arm. These do not. They are exactly what you see in the picture. I was just hoping that the picture was wrong. Amazon and even Pro Comp's website both said that they would work with my truck.

I own a Mitsubishi Montero and put these shocks on my truck. It's really impressive smoothness immediately noticeable when using the truck for the first time after the change. The trucks are usually hard car buffer, but with the Pro Comp ES3000 honestly feels like another car.

2000 Ford Ranger XLT ext cab 4x4 3.0L Contrary to what Amazon thinks, these shocks do NOT fit! They are way too short, couldn't tell you what vehicle these shocks would be a fit for.
