They work!
There was only one way to find out if these lids worked, and that was to try them out for myself.I've been sprouting seeds for years and I have several EasySprout Sprouters which have proved to be the best way of sprouting. Seeds never fail using the EasySprout Sprouters, and they sprout quickly. It's also easy to wash the sprouts using this method. However I now want to up my production of sprouts so I needed some more sprouters. Unfortunately the EasySprout Sprouters are now over £25 each, so I was looking at spending over £150...So I was intrigued by these lids which looked as if, in combination with the right size of Kilner jar, they would do the same job - at considerably less outlay.I bought the lids and three of the jars suggested (and usefully photographed) by Roy Keeble for his review here on Amazon. (The jars are here: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09QXRQYSC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1)To see if the lids and jars worked as well as the EasySprout Sprouters, I put the same amount of mung beans in each, added the same amount of water, used the same filtered water to rinse in each sprouter, and put them in the same place to sprout. As you can see from the photos, both methods of sprouting were equally successful. The left-hand photograph is the sprouted seeds using the EasySprout (also pictured), and the right-hand photograph is the sprouted seeds from the lid and jar method.I didn't tilt the lid/jar assembly, I simply turned the whole thing upside down onto a small glass plate (shown in the photos) - they're actually glass coasters. I thought tilting wasn't necessary because the lids are completely free-draining when the lid/jar assembly is upside down and it stands sturdily on the four 'feet' incorporated into the lid.So six lids plus six Kilner jars cost me £36.83 - and just one EasySprout Sprouter would have cost me over £25!I think that could be a no-brainer...

Great addition to my sprouting addiction
Found these lids to be much bigger than my present one, so had to go out looking for wider mouth jars, which is not common in Britain. But did eventually found a glass jar that fits and they work brilliantly. Great value.

I love them
I'm using them constantly. They are so easy to use! Durable. You need a bigger rimmed jars for it but they are in the shops. Once you have them, they last forever.I wash them in the dishwasher and they're still ok. Easy and brings healthy foods

Not for standard UK or Irish lids
If your country has this lid size as a common lid size these will be great. Unfortunately I am still hunting around shops trying to find a jar that will fit. I don't want to purchase from the USA for a jar!

Can’t tell you, they don’t fit anything
I bought these, after measuring some of my jars to make sure they’d fit. I didn’t want new jars, as I have plenty. No matter which jar I tried, the lids wouldn’t fit any. I even took one to the shops to see if I could buy one the correct size - no.I wanted to like them , but no good if they don’t fit anything.Am returning them
