ArtMolds AM1R0101W MoldGel Hypo-Allergenic Molding Alginate

I have experience using alginate for molds in the past but had never used this specific brand. Upon trying to mix up a batch using tap water, the mixture was extremely clumpy no matter how thoroughly I mixed. This was repeated a couple more times. A woman working in the studio I was in mentioned that her student who had also ordered this brand of alginate online has a similar problem. Thinking that hard water might be the issue I tried to mix more using distilled water and had the same results. Overall I am very disappointed with this purchase and will not use this alginate again.

I purchased this to make a cast of my hands. The directions were easy to follow and very clear. I was able to use the product to make a nice mold of my hands that I then filled and now I have a fabulous positive that I'll use to make a cast. I'll definitely purchase this product again!

I bought this and started to mix it to make a hand mold. Used up all of it and it dried before I could get my hand in there.
