Melissa & Doug Mine to Love Twins Tyler & Taylor 15” Dark Skin-Tone Boy and Girl Baby Dolls with Rompers, Caps, Pacifiers

Bought for my 11 month old son who loved his friend's doll when she came to visit. He loves his new "baby" and gives him hugs and kisses. Arrived undamaged and the moving eyes work fine. Only thing weird is, to buy 1 of these dolls on Amazon was around $35CAN, but this set of 2 was listed at $37. I gave the second doll to a friend since we only needed one.

The dolls clothing colours were dull and almost dirty looking. One doll’s eye keeps blinking (obvious defect). I would have returned it but the box is already in the garbage. Not impressed by these dolls.

They WILL fit in a 7 quart shoe box, so they solved my problem. The faces are sweet-looking. The pacifiers will fit into the mouths (on some dolls, the Costco ones, specifically, this is not the case). The eyes are realistic enough.Now, that written, there are a couple of concerns. The eyes on the one in pink that I received don't seem to want to stay open even if the doll is almost upright...so "she" looks like she has a bit of a lazy eyelid at times. I can hear a "click" as the eyes open and shut. I consider those things to be quality control issues.Overall, I'd say the Walmart brand dolls, if a bit lighter in tone and a bit smaller, are a better value. Those are difficult to obtain this year, so these will do for now.Additional note: All of the 15" dolls, I have discovered are NOT the same size. The "medium" skin tone dolls are noticeably smaller than the Caucasian dolls, for example. This DOES cause clothes designed to fit a 15" doll to fit the different "skin tones" differently.

My daughter loves these. Ever since reading the review that you cannot tell the dolls apart once undressesd, I made an effort to know which was which but honestly, it doesn’t matter. If my daughter wants them both to be girls or boys when she dresses them, that’s fine. Their bodies are soft and huggable and the eyes open and close as you lay the doll down or lift them up.I’d definitely recommend these twins. Adorable and can fit 14-16” doll clothes my daughter already had.

Cute but just wish it was possible to tell the dolls apart when they don't have on clothes, like you can on the white twins. The dolls have the exact same hairstyle, fingers, toes, etc.
