Classic American mail box.
This is a metal mailbox, just as described. I bought this for our Hamptons-style house. While it doesn’t have any anti-theft features, it does appear to be water tight. I like that it sits off ground level - fewer opportunities for bugs (ants) to get in.

You should get this mailbox!
I’m super pleased with this mailbox. It’s larger than a typical mailbox without looking huge. Roomy enough for a few small packages & a pile of mail. The red color is perfect. I specifically bought this so I could tell people “it’s the one with the red mailbox” because our house is easy to miss. And it works great! You wouldn’t believe all the compliments I get for it. It fit right onto the same post I already had for my smaller mailbox. Easy to install. No rust so far after more than 1 year. Still looks brand new. Door works well, no problems. My vinyl stickers stuck really well. Great buy!
