BLACKHAWK Special Operations Medical Backpack

This was purchased as a training bad for teaching TCCC courses. While I have another bag that I prefer for real world use this robust and cost effective option was perfect for our application. This would also make a great bag for someone who doesn’t practice some of the medical stuff at an operation level and needed a solid truck bag or similar form medical supplies.

Seems very well made from very good materials, but you'd really want to see one in person before deciding about this. The main compartment has two large cloth "buckets" that have no top, no closure, and are attached so the open top faces the rear of the pack. Whatever you pack in these compartments, will be in the bottom of the pack when you're done. There must be some reason for them, but I couldn't find it, and Blackhawk says only the designed, somewhere in Vietnam, knows why they are made this way.Well made, lots of pockets and straps, but you REALLY want to see this one in person to see if it will work for you. Mine didn't.

This is great bag overall, especially for someone who wants to keep a large variety of contents organized. This bag is large enough to hold a lot of gear. The large main compartment has zippered mesh pockets, a fold out sub-compartment, and a panel with elastic loops to organize smaller items and tools. The smaller outside compartment extends for the whole height and width of the back and easily holds a blanket or similar item. The entire outside of the bag is covered with nylon webbing straps for attaching other items. I use this as my hurricane evacuation bag and easily contains spare clothes, toiletries, first aid kit, flashlight, radio, poncho, tarp, and some food and water. It keeps everything organized and accessible. It was a little expensive, but it seems to be extremely durable and useful.

These bags are the best! Very high quality. Great quality of this bag are the 4 cinch straps to compress the depth of the bag. Quality padded straps are comfortable for hours. Also this gag is the perfect carr-on bag for traveling.

Nice pack, its well built and has a good layout. The stitching is great, but part of my pack was sewn with coyote thread in place of olive thread. Looks kinda funny, but hey its still a earth color. I wont bother to return, because Im more about function and it works.
